FIXMYSTREET IN CV23 0PR
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CV23 0PR:
Obstructed right of way, 31st March
Since the development of an equine facility at this location, to which the villagers were strongly opposed, but which the Parish Council approved, the footpath, ref 279/R73/3 has become impassible due to the destruction of the grass field by equine footfall and inadequate drainage.
This problem of degraded surface was anticipated and cited in the villagers' objections to the planning request, and have been exacerbated by the land owner using electric fencing to direct all equine and human traffic through a narrow strip approx 3m wide, and then through a gateway.
While the landowner has placed some solid matting down, but this has quickly been overwhelmed.
Land owner is chair of the parish council.

Illegal Parking, 31st March
Multiple vehicles from the same household routinely parked on the south side of Main Street (B4027), closer than 10m from the junction with Farrier's Court, partially on the pavement and often facing against the flow of traffic at night.
Owners of vehicles have been asked politely to not park there due to the increased risk at the junction and the pavement being impassible.
Owners have erected CCTV after numerous collisions between their vehicles and vehicles passing on the carriageway.
Issue has been going on for well over a year, but after a number of near miss incidents in the last week, I feel compelled to report.
Affected location, using What3Words, is between https://w3w.co/yelled.lays.lengthen and https://w3w.co/poses.group.waltz

Standing water, splashing up on house 2 metres high. Outside of Home Farm, 8th February
This is a continuous problem. Water is washing up the side of the house everytime it rains. Sometimes in excess of 2 metres high. This is causing the rather costly newly pointed brickwork to wash out. Again. And pedestrians to get soaked when walking on the pavement. It isn’t helped by vehicles doing well in excess off 30mph. Some even doing 40-50mph. The road is now uneven and even potholes are starting to form. Causing more vibrations in the house.

Standing water constantly splashing onto house. Making the walls damp, 2nd January
The problem is at Home Farm, 3 Rugby Road. Constant standing water that isn’t draining away due to an uneven busy road surface. Isn’t draining away. It is constantly splashing onto the house. We’ve already had to spend thousands on having to get it repointed after the mortar has been washed out. And the new mortar put 2023, is showing signs of being washed out. It needs to be fixed. Short answer. The road wants completely resurfacing from broad Street junction, to the Easenhall junction. The camber of the road wants altering away from the house.
