1metre pot hole, 400mm wide, 100mm deep, 20th February
This pothole has been here getting bigger and deeper for over 3months. The pot hole obviously gets full of water when it rains and it is very dangerous for traffic if they cannot see it. This pothole is right outside my driveway (11Stambourne Rd) and you have to swing wide out to avoid hitting it.

2 floods 1 is ay junction by shop and bus stop and 2nd is on main road where new houses were buily and there are currently yraffic lites In the flood...common sense wld say move these back so cars can pass in the shallowist part. It is everytime we have rain., 20th October

Pavements reduced by vegetation, 11th July
Vegetation has overgrown onto the pavement reducing the width and trees and shrubs along the side also reducing width causing pedestrians to walk in the road. This is the only paved area to the playing fields which is used by children, mothers with prams, in fact anyone from the youngest to the oldest in the village. This is unacceptable and needs addressing before someone has a serious accident.

Essex highway came and looked at the many pot holes and red paint on area's that are becoming more worse if allowed to carry on much longer there will be no road as under surface is washing down road

Part of the road seems to have subsided, causing a huge ramp that you hit if you dont know the road., 16th January
This subsided road, has created a ramp, which isn't visible until you hit it. You have to partly drive in the wrong side of the road just as you are approaching the bend before the farmhouse & Meads Farm. This has been like this for probably 6 maths to 1yr - but I couldn't access this site or the council site to report it.

Two pipes running under the road and one is blocked and the other is partially blocked and they need heavy duty jetting. The blocked pipes are a flood risk as all the cottages near the pipes have already flooded.

Broken Manhole covers outside Zoe’s hairdressers and The Old Telephone Exchange, 25th March
2x broken manhole covers about 10 metres apart have become dislodged from the road and make loud clashing noises when vehicles pass over. Situated on Great Yeldham High Street A1017 between the Old Telephone Exchange and Zoe’s Hairdressers. Causes significant noise disturbance to all households around and may also be a danger to drivers if not fixed. This has been an issue since early 2021.

Manhole cover by 'Slow' road marking. Almost outside The Old Telephone Exchange., 21st March
Although it doesn't look like much of a problem from the photos, the manhole cover obviously isn't seated in the road correctly, because every time a vehicle goes over the cover it makes a loud noise. This is a very busy road and that noise can be heard in the house from early morning until at night. The neighbours also complain of the nuisance. It may even be dangerous, hard to tell without inspection.

Street light, 25th January
The street light outside my house in Great Yeldham, CO94JF, has not been working for months. It’s dark when I go to work and when I get home so having to use a torch. This is not acceptable and all it needs is a new bulb. Please change the bulb ASAP. Many thanks

Massive pothole getting deeper quickly. Water is constantly being splashed on to my property. Also,, 23rd January
Massive pothole getting deeper and wider quickly. Water is constantly being splashed on to my property. Also, vehicles are falling down it on the edge of the road causing them to easily lose control. The edge of the highway is quickly crumbling away. Also, as there isn't a pavement, pedestrians are also at risk of falling! It has been a problem for approx 2 years in my opinion, but has recently got much worse.

Sunken drain/gully cover, 16th September
The gully cover on the pavement outside my house as sunken significantly and the surface is now shiny and smooth. This morning our post lady slipped on the cover landing in the road and badly scraping up her legs. The path is on one of the main routes to our local school and is now sunken to a dangerous level. It is not only dangerous because it is so shiny and smooth and tilts towards the road but it has also created a trip hazard.
