Hung tree, 11th April
The fallen tree is currently suspended across the road near the white ‘SLOW’ road markings just before Holmewood House Nursery as you approach from West Bergholt direction.
Although it does not currently obstruct the road it is only a matter of time before it does.

There is no category for this safety issue, so put under street lighting. A12 Colchester J28 in lay-by west bound SOS phone out of order. Because this is a mobile phone black spot with no signal this SOS phone is important. It may have been out of order for 6 months plus.Please have it fixed ASAP. Thanks

This entire road has GIANT potholes everywhere and the whole thing needs sorting., 16th February
This entire road has giant potholes either side of the road. In most points of this road it is a one car lane and the heavy traffic flow in recent months has destroyed the entire road. It needs resurfacing, pot holes filling. Please complete this asap. It has become a rat run with a very heavy flow of traffic especially when the A12 is at a standstill.

Deep pothole around drain cover, 16th January
Drain cover loose in pothole. Hard to see, need to swerve on to oncoming traffic to avoid. Will damage tyres, possibly suspension but super dangerous for the cyclists that use this road.been like this for 4 weeks. Progressively getting worse.

Vehicles continually parking dangerously on zigzags by zebra crossing, 9th February
There has been a continuous problem on Chapel Rd, West Bergholt, Colchester by the zebra crossing near the Pharmacy and Co-op with cars and vans parking dangerously on the zigzag lines often obstructing the view of people coming out of the Co-op carpark or other general car drivers so they can't see people waiting to cross, there have been many near misses on this crossing

Illegal parking on pavement - damage to pedestrians property, 9th February
On 28/1 I was walking home and there was a wiles contracters Ltd truck parked illegally over the pavement. I was walking with my baby in a pram and it was not safe to cross the road as traffic was coming up the road, so i managed to squeeze past the vehicle on the pavement that remained, but there was a metal bolt on the side of the truck and this caught on my handlebar and ripped the foam. Conscious that it would cost me £30/£40 to replace. i emailed photos to the company who owned the truck and asked if they could kindly reimburse the new handlebar cost . They replied with an email telling me it was my fault as i was moving and the vehicle was parked (albeit badly) and that i should have confronted the driver which i was not comfortable doing as i didn't know how they would react. Please can this illegal parking be dealt with accordingly. It would also be nice to be reimbursed a new handlebar cover but the company contact who replied to my email wasn't happy to do this as 'everyone' would be doing it she says. If they get a parking fine then that would be justice for me, as I will be out of pocket due to the illegal parking that was an offence committed by the driver/company trcuk.
