Verges being destroyed, 31st March
The verges in this road are being destroyed by people parking their cars on them, They have been turned into mud where there once was grass. Colchester council refuse to help, Essex County Council refuse to help and the Police refuse to help. As with everything on West Mersea nothing is done to help the residence when we have a problem , we are just cash cows for Colchester Council .

There is no road left, 8th February
There is no road surface left here now. Once side it rubble the other a flood because the drain is blocked.
This is the main road into West Mersea and had been totally neglected since the botched repair which lasted about a week. The Council are a waste of time and money they do nothing and this stretch of rubble where a road once was totally proves it.

The end mark of the Anglian Water sewage outfall has broken down and is obscured at high tide. This is a hazard to navigation posing a risk to any boat etc that hits it. The north end of the pipe has been highlighted in the report as the south / seaward end is not accepted as a location that is able to be marked on this website. Two of the three lights between Melrose road and barfield road are not working making the footpath extremely dark. The footpath is beside an old people’s home and is often used by them and the public. The lights don’t work and need fixing

Serious flooding which becomes black ice when cold weather., 15th January
This is a serious problem with excess water coming from the Dawes Lane Construction site, that pools on the side of the road and becomes black sheet ice in cold weather. There have been two serious accidents in the past week.
