Constant flooding on road every time it rains in a dangerous location, 15th November
Flooding across the road were the speed limit changes from National speed limit single carriageway to 40mph. This is on a blind bend and cars risk driving on the wrong side of road to avoid the flooded area. This is very dangerous and one day there will be a serious incident possible fatal. This has been reported a number of times over the 11 years I have lived here. The most that was done 2 years ago was a caution flood sign appeared for a short while.

Smell of raw sewage in ditch, 9th February
I walk my dog down Beaumont quay and as I drive past the entrance to to bungalow on the left there is a real strong smell of raw sewage. I’ve the walk dog back past same spot and looked in ditch and it’s all black like sewage just concerned that it’s so close to going straight in to the back waters and the sea. Think it’s an environment agency problem.

Public footpath obstructed by developers metal fencing, 1st July
A metal fence has been erected on public footpath number 5 in Great Oakley behind woodlands..This fence completely obstructs an original pathway which we used to walk to school.. Please see attached the map clearly marked with the original footpath and where the developers fence now is!! This footpath has been used for many years in our community and it’s upsetting for myself and child as we are unable to enjoy the nature which is part of our village..I feel the wildlife and ourselves are trapped by this huge horrid fencing! ..Can removal of this fence be enforced? To allow access for residents/parents and children to enjoy the pathway and abundance of wildlife on our walk to school.. I am an avid lover of our natural eco system and do not wish the wildflowers/hedgerows and wildlife to be attacked any more by the developers.. They have already destroyed a natural habitat on the side of the path which butterfly’s and ladybirds lay their eggs each year and other mammals/insects. when the developers move the fence they will have to be very mindful of the miner bees that have taken residence in a mud mound, which I’m happy to direct you to, but unfortunately I’m unable to access now due to the fencing blocking the pathway..

Crumbling and uneven path surface, 8th June
The path in question is like a patchwork quilt.. Loose gravel/tarmac in large wide holes.. Ranging from a few centimetres holes to 1 metre in some places.. The path over time has well used for many years and hasn’t been maintained at all.. ! It has been dug up for various purposes over time and the surface of the path hasn’t been looked after.. unfortunately I can only add 3 pictures.. These are just a few of the areas affected.. my child has already had a tumble on the loose surface gravel/tarmac which is crumbling away. I am concerned now for my child’s safety and the families in our street due to the poor maintenance of our paths..These paths need to be fixed repaired/maintained or upgraded to keep our residence safe from falls and tumbles.. we have more foot traffic in the village now due to some recent new builds so we need safer paths..

Deep pot hole at Wix Road Junction, 3rd December
This pot hole was quite small initially, but over several months has increased in size. Its gradually becoming deeper and wider. It is situated at the junction between Wix Road leading onto School. It has now becoming a bit of a problem since it has increased in size and you have to swerve to avoid damage to ones car. This road receives a lot of road traffic as it is outside a school and therefore it will soon become a bigger hole. It would be greatly appreciated if this could be repaired ASAP to save any future problems.
