Large pool of water in the road splashing over 6ft fence and into garden, 2nd January
Hi, this is the third time we have reported this issue recently and nothing has been done. Large pools of water are forming on the carriageway (Colchester bound) when we have heavy rain and it splashes up our fence and over it into the garden - so not only is it damaging our fence but it’s putting dirty road water all over our garden. Just before Christmas Highways came out and cleared some gulleys further up the road but they did not look at this section. Please can this be escalated as we have raised the issue several times now. Thank you

Flooding, 9th December
The rain water and run off is pooling on the side of the road which means that whenever a car or lorry drives through it water is thrown up and over our fence and into our garden. We reporting this in October and nothing has been done but everytime it rains heavily the same thing happens and we are concerned about the safety of such a large puddle as well as the errosion to our fence and the dirty road water being thrown into our property. Please can you come out and look at this.

Flooding road becoming impassable, 27th November
This road continues to flood in bad weather making it extremely dangerous as cars are having to drive on the wrong side of the road as they go round the bend and it won’t be long before another accident takes place. I believe there might be an issue with a pipe or overflowing pond that’s causing the issue and it will continue throughout the winter until resolved.

Dangerous Junction, 8th October
I'm a Driving Instructor. The turn requires significant braking, often with a HGV behind you. Vehicles to the rear do not slow down and risk is high. One person has already been killed at this junction. I would like to meet with a highway engineer to discuss the issue. I have spoken with councillors and the press but nothing has been done.

Bright light shinning into drivers eyes from Lorry Park, 16th June
There is a very bright laser or led light, which shines from the very busy lorry park directly into the eyes of oncoming drivers, this is dangerous.. The lorry park, which joins directly onto the A120. there are numerous large HGV type articulated lorries which enter the green fenced compound and leave at very high speed for the junction, they often cross the carriage way blocking both directions as they are so large and the road is very narrow. It seems odd that this lorry park was given planning permission.

Poor visibility when joining from Wix Road, due to over grown vegetation., 16th June
The verge has grown so much and the farmer is growing crops very close to the road. the combination means that the visibility of cars joining the A120 from Wix road is poor for oncoming traffic, you can see skid marks on the road, presumably from cars rapidly breaking when a car joins the main road. In addition, when turning right, from wix road and joining the A120, the visibility is now very poor due to the over grown vegetation.

Overgrown brambles obstructing sightline, 21st March
Brambles on verge of A120 on the inside of the bend. Visibility from the wix road junction, looking in the colchester direction, is limited and when waiting to turn right into primrose lane from the A120 (coming from harwich), the brambles limit the vision of traffic coming from Colchester direction, making it tricky to cross. Brambles have been present for some years but are gradually getting more out of control

Zero grip, 26th October
Again, reporting the same lack of skid resistance on this road. When damp it's like riding on ice. Sort it out Essex County Council. Your incompetence astounds me. I have been highlighting this road for three years.

Lack of texture and grip, 20th May
The bitumen has bled to the surface over the years, resulting in zero grip and texture. This is the third year I have reported this. When it's wet it is a death trap waiting to happen for motorcyclists. In the recent rain, you could feel slippage throughout the corner. Very dangerous. Please address this issue.
