Traffic lights - prioritise, 9th April

Tue, 09 Apr 2024 12:51:40 +0100
53.206491 -3.131723

These traffic lights need to have the sensors or timing and priorities redone. Fridays especially, the roads leading to them from Connah’s Quay are often at a standstill or crawling with traffic, while the cross roads at the lights from Mold to the A55 are practically empty of traffic. If they could be looked at it would help stop the roads from being so clogged. They also stop traffic flow on this road even when there’s no cars waiting on the other roads on the cross road.

Main 50 mph sign as you enter headed m56 does not face on coming traffic, 1st July

Sat, 01 Jul 2023 09:40:55 +0100
53.210267 -3.125553

Apologies I am not local to Queens ferry. I am concerned as travelling from Wales to Manchester I only became aware of the 50mph zone after seeing the first circular sign in the central reservation. On reflection I realized that there was a double square sign that was parrallel to both sides of the road i.e. not facing oncoming traffic. This would have been the initial 50mph sign. This meant I was still not driving at the correct speed which I quickly and safely remedied and came down to 40 to 50mph. I am deeply concerned and fretting that I may of incurred a fine through no fault of my own yesterday. I do not want anyone else to fall foul if this poor signage. May I suggest rumble strips or someother sensory alert to the change of speed limit also.

Why no double yellows on this corner?, 9th February

Wed, 09 Feb 2022 18:32:07 +0000

You put double yellow lines on corners in Northop to combat terrible parking. However you missed this corner. When cars are parked here you cannot see anything coming around the corner.

Van parked dangerously and blocking footpath, 17th June

Thu, 17 Jun 2021 12:54:13 +0100
53.201887 -3.092192

This van is always parked there. He says it helps slow the traffic down! However, it simply means people have to stop to let cars past lower down the street or cars try to squeeze through so actually increasing the risk of cars speeding and risk of accident. He's parked on the kerb meaning you can't get past with a pram or wheelchair, therefore have to negotiate around the van (and trailer that's always attached) to get past. NB this road leads to the primary school. It is already very unsafe for children with the speeds cars drive past, let alone having to cross in to the road to pass parked cars/see past parked cars

Cars are regularly parking directly opposite the junction, or right on the junction. This makes it difficult and unsafe to pull into/out of the junction. NB this road leads to the primary school. It is already very unsafe for children with the speeds cars drive past, let alone having to cross in to the road to pass parked cars/see past parked cars

Cars parked dangerously, 17th June

Thu, 17 Jun 2021 12:47:59 +0100
53.202332 -3.096589

Cars are always parked directly opposite the junction. Also parked on the turn in to Church Close junction. It makes turning out of Church Close on to the village road extremely difficult and dangerous, and when turning on to Church Close, if the van/car are there you have to stop to check its clear before overtaking. It's an accident waiting to happen

The walk through at the end of elm drive is right next to our house and is full of dog poo on both sides., 20th January

53.200722 -3.096972

The dog fouling is awful people do not pick it up and it smells awful right next to our home. There are no signs up so perhaps this may help the situation. Many dig walkers use the walk through as its access to get to the shop.
