Potholes, 25th April
Travelling on Wednesday 24th in the direction of Wrexham on the A55 coming from Northwich. The potholes and road surface is absolutely disgraceful between junction 40 and 38. So many potholes, road breaking up and uneven surface. People were swerving to avoid the potholes. I have travelled recently to Anglesey and the A55 is in a reasonable condition in that direction. However it has been a while since I travelled the other direction and was shocked to say the least.

Swarm of potholes both carriageways, 24th April
Potholes on both sides of road between junctions 39 and 40.motorists frequently swerving to avoid the constant thumping into the holes. I have to say that the Welsh side of the a55 is much better maintained

Bridge shaking, 27th March
We were on the bridge queuing earlier today when two tractors passed us. The bridge was shaking as if it was unable to manage this movement. My worry is that with the increased level of traffic the bridge could be weakening

Bridge, 27th March
Whilst queuing on the bridge over the A55 from the Rake & Pikel towards town this morning, a tractor and trailer passed over the bridge the opposite way & as it did so the bridge bounced / flexed under the weight. I don’t know if this is supposed to happen ie flexing in bad weather to maintain structural integrity or not and now with all the extra weight on the bridge as everyone queues at the three way set if traffic lights this is too large a load for the bridge to take.

Abandoned scaffolding clamps, 18th September
Regarding the bridge maintenance which has recently occurred on the road bridge on the B5130 over the A55.
Whilst walking northbound, from Huntington towards Chester on the south side of the road (opposite side of the road from Rake & Pickel pub) I noticed what resemble scaffolding clamps left on the bridge on the exposed side of the fencing. There are two, one positioned over each side of the carriageway. They are positioned over the embankments so should not drop onto the road but could fall in the event of high winds.

Cones in place, 14th June
A55 towards Great Boughton - 1 Lane closed with cones in place causing huge queues from Broughton to Great Boughton - no work in place, but cones caused journey to take nearly 1 hour instead of 15 mins. This was 8am and same happened later today - no prior notice of any road works - huge traffic delays, not acceptable.

Fallen Fence (A55 south bound), 17th May
Large section of fence which runs alongside the A55 (south bound) at this location, shortly before the bridge was blown down in the high winds a few months back. Thought it would have been rectified by now?? This is a serious health and safety issue as farm animals and wild animal can now access the A55 and cause serious harm to drivers.
