Chalks Green Potholes, 2nd March
Chalks Green, which is a lane off High Easter Road, leads to approximately 12 properties and is adopted for a length of 150 metres up to and including the entrance to a close of 4 new properties built between 2004 and 2005. At around 70 metres from High Easter Road there is a line of potholes extending for approximately 15 metres. The potholes range in size up to 60cm long, 30cm wide and 12cm deep and are increasing rapidly so that they will soon form a continuous line of holes. The position of the line of potholes and distance from the side of the lane makes it almost impossible to avoid when driving. There is also a large pothole at the entrance to the 4 new properties which is approximately 50cm long, 33cm wide and 15cm deep. This hole is increasing in size at a very fast rate and will soon become impossible to avoid and damaging to vehicles either turning into the close or driving along the lane. A photo of the line of potholes is attached and additional photos of all the potholes are available if required.

Road subsidence & potholes, 17th January
At the junction of High Easter Road and Chalks Green the road had been repaired approximately 3 years ago following work by one of the utility companies. The repair, which is about 6-8 feet square, has been subsiding for some time now and was reported in early 2011. Nothing has been done and the subsidence is now significantly worse with quite large holes in part of it. There are now also other potholes appearing in the immediate vicinity of the original repair making it virtually impossible to avoid driving through the damaged areas. Given the rate of damage it is likely that following this winter the area will be much worse and likely to cause damage to vehicles in the near future. In addition, there is a long line of potholes at about 40 metres into Chalks Green. A photo of the main subsided area is attached.
