Large Tree branches overhanging road opposite houses where cars park on roadside., 12th January
Our company need access with LGV1 Tankers to nearby farm location with a minimum height clearance of 13.5ft. One of the branches has already been ripped off but there are more that are substantially bigger that could cause serious damage or injury to road users.

Very deep pothole with ruined bollard in it after blind bend going NW., 29th April
I nearly had serious accident as I rounded the blind bend on my bike with car coming opposite way taking up all the road. As an ex racing cyclist I managed to bunny hop over the big hole and took to the grass verge. Most cyclists would not have been able to do that.

Outside #1 Barnmead, adjacent to the Green Man Pub the disabled ramp to the footway has deteriorated. My wife uses a wheelchair and I have alost tipped her out because of this now dangerous footway. All other footways in our village seem OK but this one requires a small ammount of tarmacadam to kake safe and good. Thankyou. William Heffernan...Rose Cottages next to the Green Man., 3rd December

Deep pothole just before the turning with Toot Hill Road, 2nd July
Deep pothole just before the turning with Toot Hill Road. Can't see it when approaching in the car as it looks as though it has been filled previously and has sunk. Takes up almost half of one side of the road. Made the whole car rattle after driving over it, will cause major damage to cars if not fixed. One of the worst potholes i've seen for ages. Someone else has already reported it on here in March - please can you repair asap.

Road subsidence + Pot hole, 3rd March
Road susided and cars are grounding when passing over, requiring those drivers who see the subsidence to move to the middle of the road. Pot hole is virtually opposite the subsidence.

There is a white van that has been abandoned, it has no current road tax and the wheels are flat on the vehicle. It is taken up parking spaces for legal road users

Slippery, smooth tarmac, 14th March
The surface of the tarmac is smooth and shiny, and very slippery when it is wet. I was cycling along here in a straight line when my bike slid out from under me, so this is potentialy dangerous.

Just a you come round the edge of the bend coming from the A414 to Ongar there is a hugh pothole that could do some serious damage to your car

Sunken road, 30th July
This is now getting very dangerous, when a vechicle is approaching from the other direction and you have to go down in the dip and it bottoms out on the underneath of your car which will cause damage!!!

Collapsed metal cover in road, 30th March
I would like to report a collapse metal cover in the road on south west corner of Toot Hill village green.
It could be a water board access cover but I am not entirely sure. This needs replacing before a cyclist or driver has an accident.

Sunken Kerb, 15th August
As the road does not have kerb stones, when traffic passes each other at this spot, they are forced to use the edge of the road which now has a hole that is about 6" deep and about 3-4' long. Even more dangerous when wet as the hole fills with water and it is not apparent that the hole is large and deep. It has been filled with tarmac a year ago but this has now also sunk.
