Very dangerous hole beside drain on Hall Road, 3rd January
What 3 Words location ///pipe.permit.spooned
Massive holes (both deep and wide) around almost all the drains in Hall Road between the Crown pub and Elsenham Hall. This is the most dangerous one as it is closest to the sharp blind bend. Cars and lorries need to move over to the other side of the road to avoid damage to their car, lots of residents have already experienced wheel damage and/or near misses. Could very easily cause a fatal accident, only a matter of time.

Dangerous pavement, 13th September
Pavement from Elsenham to Stansted Mountfitchet is in seriously poor condition and is a danger to pedestrians and wheel assisteded users. Pavement has almost disappeared to vegetation with overgrown vegetation and or dirt/grit/soil verge 'growing' towards the road. This is a main road and heavy lorries do use it to leave building sites in Elsenham and pedestrians occasionally have to walk in the roadway. Where the farmer has cut the hedge back the Pavement is being swallowed by the verge. A serious injury is waiting to happen, even more so as more homes built in the village with zero maintenance on access, pavements, to the village.

Huge sacks of (perhaps) highway construction litter are a hideous blott on the landscape. In strong winds, plastic sheeting breaks loose and could easily blow onto the M11, blinding drivers, heading north. This is north of Jct 8, and a bit north of Stansted Hall, right next to the motorway.

Pot hole at least 4” deep., 4th April
This pothole has developed rapidly over the past few weeks. Every time it rains it fills up and you are not able to realise how deep it is. It on the edge of the road where there is a dropped kerb for pushchairs , wheelchairs, pedestrians cross the road.As a cyclist it is difficult to avoid as it is a busy road. Someone has put a cone in the hole but it needs fixing urgently. The photo does not show clearly how deep the hole is as when it rains the loose surface fills it up till a car comes along and splashes water and debris out of hole.
