Multiple potholes across full width of carriageway for multiple metres, 25th March
This is no longer a road. It's an off-road dirt track. Dig it out and start again please. No more half-hearted "dump a bag of pre-mixed into the hole and hope for the best" patches please!!!

Chronic uneven road surface, 15th March
This area has for a long time now, many reports of potholes. The area in question appears to be on the Essex /Herts border and there lies the problem. It seems to me neither council are taking responsibility as in each direction from this ‘no man’s land’, the road surface is considerably smoother and safer. Maybe this is a matter for National Highways, but if not then it requires immediate and thorough repair ~ it is an A road after all.

Huge and multiple potholes on A1184 from Beefeater towards Sawbridgeworth, 14th March
These potholes have been here for far too long with no obvious signs anyone is looking in to them. The clusters of potholes are largely unavoidable due to the fact they span the road. They start just after the Beefeater and are there for about 10+ metres. These have been patched several times over the years and usually reappear after a few weeks

There are now 2 potholes and getting deeper and razor sharp edges. Dangerous position., 26th February
It is quickly getting deeper and has sharp edges. Cars are turning in from London Rd to Brook Road but having to swerve to other side of road to avoid. It’s very deep. If other cars on other side you have no choice to go down it and will break a wheel or take a cyclist out. It’s over ankle deep now. These photos taken Thursday and Today Monday is worse.

Bushes & trees encroaching on road, 21st February
Bushes & trees are leaning over into the road which is narrow along this stretch making it difficult for 2 cars to pass each other. One tree especially has thick branches has encroached onto the road heading towards West Road, that could easily scratch a car's side. It seems lorries have made their way through the trees causing an overhang in the taller trees. In 3 years I have never noticed any cutting of trees in this road.

Road humps have broken down surfaces & road in between humps, 21st February
Over 3 years this part of the road has been like this. The humps have potholes in them, you have to judge the best place to drive over in low gear even if it's on other side of the road, as many cars do. In between the humps the road surface is also badly uneven & filled with potholes. Cars have to wait for each of them to pass before proceeding. Very dangerous.

Bushes encroaching on footpath, 14th February
Bushes with hard, sharp wood are overgrowing across the footpath. In combination with frequent pavement parking at this location, pedestrians are forced to walk in the road. Sharp twigs also catch your face if passing in the dark (there are no street lights at this location).

Road humps/raised tables markings excessively worn, 11th February
For the section if High Wych Lane from High wych road to Bonneys Row - the raised hums are now degrading with bits coming loose. the road surface is also scarrred and failing. In paticular the raised humps no longer have the visible markings as required in TSRGD ( diagram 1040). The pedistrian crossing outside the village shop is so badly worn and deteriorated that it no longer complies with legislation and is hazardous as the surface is potholed and the anti skid surface is now non-existant. This needs repairing as a matter of urgency as it forms a section of the 'walk to school' footpath in the village.

Temporary lights not working properly, 8th February
The temporary lights were not working properly this afternoon leading to some cars going through a red light. This is a 3 way roadworks set of lights and coming from Sawbridgeworth into Harlow today we were waiting over 5 minutes for the light to turn red and then when it did it only stayed red long enough for 3 cars to go through. The back up of traffic in both ways is ridiculous. The lights need to be checked. This is not the first time I have seen this happen with these lights.

New lamppost with no lamp!, 26th January
I reported the old lamppost at this location (footpath 21) being out of order and the front hanging open in around October last year. The post was removed and replaced quite quickly, but it has never had a new lamp attached - see photos. This is situated down an alleyway that is very dark and this particular post is in the darkest, dog-leg section, of the alley, making it very unsafe for potential trips and feels unsafe as a woman walking it at night.
NB: this alley is in a disgusting state, thick with leaf mulch from fallen leaves in the autumn which become sodden and very slippery whenever it rains, not to mention leaving shoes/clothes, dogs, and children filthy each time they walk it. Please can you arrange for it to be thoroughly swept and cleaned ASAP.

Over hanging trees and bushes, 24th January
There is a small piece of land near the council garages. The trees and bushes are over grown and scratching people's vehicles when they come into my property. The council have cleared the area before but it hasn't been done for a least a couple of years. The trees over are hanging the garage area and the access to my property.
