Grass verges overgrown and footpath too narrow, 4th January
Inadequate maintenance of this narrow single footpath on the western side of the A128 Brentwood Road between Ingrave and Running Waters has been an issue for many, many years. I eventually contacted Essex County Council in January 2019 and despite an acknowledgement of my concerns about the overgrown grass verges it was not considered of sufficient priority to plan remedial work and address the problem. 2 years further on and now of course in the middle of a pandemic we are actively encouraged to exercise daily. Our local Ingrave & Herongate Post Office has long since closed and the nearest alternative can only be accessed (without driving a car) by walking along the Brentwood Road. The use of this footpath has undoubtedly increased in the last 12 months with pedestrians, walkers, joggers and even many cyclists having to use it avoid this dangerous 50mph stretch of the A128 road. In some areas the pavement width is barely 50cm wide due to overgrown vegetation so multiple pedestrians have to walk in single file. As difficult as this may be it becomes virtually impossible to socially distance should you encounter other pedestrians, joggers or cyclists coming in the opposite direction or travelling in the same direction, at which point someone has to move onto the actual A128 carriageway. This lack of planned maintenance is further highlighted by the deteriorating condition of the pavement surface(s) which in some areas has suffered from frost damage over many years and has now become a trip hazard for all users.

3ft pothole in north car park, 24th June
Hi I was towing a horse box in the north car park and came across a pothole I managed to straddle the pothole with my vehicle but as there were vehicle all around the horse box wheel went down the pothole and ripped the tyre to bites. And would like to claim for a new tyre.

There is a significant drop from the surface of road (The Avenue). This morning I was almost involved in an accident when a car lost both front and back wheels down the drop and lost control., 31st July
