A14 / A142 signage issue that needs urgent attention. The No Left Turn sign has disappeared from the A142 bridge over the A14 (probably not replaced by contractors working on the bridge last year). I've can supply a photo of what it used to look like if required. The sign has become illegible in the past, leading to vehicles travelling on the A142 from Newmarket to take the A14 (Eastbound) slip road instead of turning into Windmill Hill (heading for Exning) - which is obviously very dangerous.

Bad Rutts / Farrows in Lane 1, 27th April
Rutts.in lane 1 Eastbound from the a11 junction to other end where A11 goes North, the ruts are quite deep and will eventuality turn a Hgv over whilst changing lanrs etc, its good that a lot of.A14 is being resurfaced but when will the.lane 1 Rutts be fixed ??

Roundabout sign removed with lamppost, 2nd April
The roundabout sign on the approach to the roundabout has been removed (presumably when lamppost was cut down). Drivers are not slowing for the roundabout, causing a hazard to drivers turning onto Brickfields Avenue from Royal Palace Close. Please can it be reinstated ASAP

Sign missing, 11th March
At approx 2155 on 11 Mar 24 on entering the night roadworks onto the A14 there are no speed limit signs as you enter the slip road denoting a 40 mph limit. This means that users entering the A14 would still believe it is National speed limit. The last speed sign visible is National speed limit and a double clear way sign as you enter the slip lane. This would suggest a National speed limit. The first road sign denoting a 40mph limit is a speed repeater sign some distance onto the A14. Immediately after the first speed sign there is a police speed camera van which will be measuring road users speed who will not be aware of the fact it is 40mph until is too late. In addition, the number of roadwork vehicles transiting on the works lane with all their lights flashing and bright spot lights is a distraction from any road markings and signs.
In order to ensure road users are aware of the speed limit and to protect the work force, a 40mph sign should be positioned on the slip road at the location marked to ensure users entering the A14 are aware of the speed limit reduction.

The problem is on the A14, Newmarket, Suffolk (Starbucks Newmarket East) is apparently flooded. It has taken 5 hours to get here from Cambridge. However Highways England are negligent because for all the many overhead signs from Bar Hill Cambridge to here only one overhead sign said A14 Closed junction 38 to 39 (if I remember correctly) thereby causing the massive traffic gridlock going east on the A14, 29th February
What is wrong is Highways England have not done their job properly thereby causing very very significant traffic jam. We left Cambridge at 09.15 and eventually were able to pull off at Starbucks A14. Newmarket East at 14.50. Utterly disgraceful on your part

The light outside 434 Aureole Walk, opp Garage 12 is not working, 15th February
The light outside 434 Aureole Walk, near garage block 12, (Lamp number 1163) Various residents have reported this light not working since August 2023 (Ref 427384) and nothing has been done. Elderly people live near here and it is dangerous with the light not working. Could this please be fixed ASAP

Inconsiderate roadside parking, 28th January
For many years residents have parked on the roadside or up on the pavement when there is a perfectly good layby opposite.
This roadside parking is between two bends and so obstructs the view of traffic both ways. Consequently it causes vehicles to continue to pull out in front of likely oncoming traffic as it cannot be seen.
Vehicles approaching from Burwell, who legally have right of way, do not slow down at the bend. It is likely, if has not already occurred, for there to be a serious head on collision.
I should image this has been brought to your attention many times, hence the creation of the layby opposite a few years ago. Please can this be addressed before there is a serious collision.

Multiple large ( 5inch) bumps made by tree roots, 12th December
This has been here for many years and makes it extremely difficult to cycle up and down the path. It has punctured my tyres multiple time. Also very difficult to see them in the dark which is a major trip hazard.
