3 large, deep potholes, easily obscured by puddles, 14th February
The potholes are close to the junction with Babraham Road so there is little time to react on turning on to Limekiln Road from Babraham Road. Limekiln Road is also a 40 mph single carriageway road, meaning scope to take avoiding action is extremely limited when there is oncoming traffic. Lighting in the area is also poor, posing an additional challenge in the dark. My front left tyre was obliterated by these potholes.

Dangerous dropped kerb causes cyclists to fall off, 4th February
Cycling into Cambridge on a Thursday in winter I came across a man in cycling gear lying on the cycleway surrounded by onlookers. The photo is a recreation of what I remember. The ambulance took 45 minutes to arrive. During this period 4-5 other cyclists in trying to avoid the scene had accidents and my belief this was due to the dangerous dropped kerb estimated to be 25mm high. Specifically a cyclist transits onto the busway and then glances back onto the cyclepath and they are then brought down by the dangerous dropped kerb.
The remedial action is to fit a ramped kerb (like a Cambridge kerb). If a flush kerb is fitted then it would need a strip of blister paving - so a ramped kerb is better.
This is a busy junction with cyclists, pedestrians, and suitcases on wheels so it is very common to see cyclists transitioning like this.

Parking in front of garage, 11th October
Frequent cars parking in front of garage access on Clay Farm drive often making it impossible to leave without having to ask them to move. There is parking for the house this is in front of. This has been going on for months. It also sometimes makes the road too narrow for other cars or emergency vehicles to pass. There need to be yellow lines here to prevent this - there is plenty of visitor parking in the area.
