ISSUE: Begging and the associated anti-social behaviour continues to be an issue on Gloucester Road outside of the larger shops.
ACTION: The team engage with people begging on a daily basis.
We work in partnership with our Streetwise Team in order to combat this and signpost the individuals towards organisations that can offer them help.
2 persistent beggars now have Community Protection Notices granted against them which gives further police powers to deal with them.

ISSUE: Prohibited items
ACTION: Problem solving meetings are ongoing between the police and the prison.
Patrols have been increased at the times of day when the offences are being committed. A male was arrested and charged in September.
The Neighbourhood team are engaging with the local residents to encourage suspicious activity to be called in to the police

ISSUE: Sheds and garages are being broken into by burglars with bikes being the target.
ACTION: Targeted patrols and investigations being carried out by Operation Remedy officers
