Diversion of the foot path from Bince's Lodge Lane to Water Lane. Paulton/Clandown area.., 22nd April

Mon, 22 Apr 2024 11:28:59 +0100
51.300577 -2.480756

Not really a problem, but the land owner has fenced off what they consider to be the public footpath, (and put up signs stating to keep to the footpath) when in fact they have diverted the footpath to follow the hedge contour. Which is not the direct route of the path from gate to gate. Problem will be in a few years that no one will maintain the hedge, hence the foot path will be over grown. The owner should provide gates in and out of the newly fenced area, or move the fence to the original foot path. (But this would obviously cut down the areas of land that they want to sale.....)

Opposite the exit to Alexandra Terrace, 14th April

Sun, 14 Apr 2024 21:10:00 +0100
51.305177 -2.498022

Was not able to find the right drop down option but this is close enough to highlight the issue. As you pull out from Alexandra Terrace, the lane runs between two relatively high walls of the terrace front garden, due to street parking and the angle and height you are at when driving the car, it is literally impossible to see a car sometimes until it is coming past the closest parked car to the lane. Due to the nature of the road and the passing point half way and the visibility due to both ends of the road being lower than the passing point, cars can come past the lane at speed and it is very dangerous. You have to edge your car out as a driver and sometimes even have to guess that the road is clear, recently I have had to turn my music off and roll my window down to be able to hear if there is any traffic coming, that’s the only way it is safe to know if a car is coming. There is a serious need to a large convex traffic mirror to be positioned opposite the lane that allows drivers to be able to see if there is a car coming. I feel this is an accident waiting to happen if there is not. I have videos to support this and am happy to send them to whoever to allow for further information

Report on FixMyStreet

Alexandra Terrace is the road that runs along the back of the terrace of houses, which leads up from Ham Lane. The pot hole is towards the back of the lane running between the two end terraces, before the garage, this is shown in the picture. I have not been able to place exactly on the marker, but if you go up the lane from the marker that is positioned on Ham Lane and walk up it towards Alexandra Terrace you will see the pot hole., 14th April

The pothole has been there for some time now and is starting to get really quite deep. I have tried to display just how deep within the photos. The lip is around 45/50mm deep and I would estimate it to be around 90mm deep in the middle of the pothole. The road is used by the whole terrace of houses so really does need filling. Many thanks
