An armless sign, 27th March
The lovely old traditional wooden finger post opposite the entrance to Bentley has lost all its arms and is quite sad. Please arrange for replacement wooden arms to be fitted instead of a modern metal sign which would be most out of keeping for the area. The post itself is good. Thanks!

Culvert railings broken by contractor, 14th July
I walked past the works on Harvey’s Lane this morning past the various workings of UK Power Networks. The railings that provided protection from the culvert have been destroyed during the works as can be seen in the photographs. You can also see how deep the water is in the ditches and so it is vital that they are made to reinstate the railings and posts before they vacate the site. I trust that you will ensure they are held to account?

Dangerous post and stile, 18th October
The top rail has come out of the supporting post meaning that it, and the taller post, are loose and wobble. If anybody puts weight on the post to help them get over the stile they could easily over balance and fall. Lease fix before somebody has an accident. There are lots of super new stiles and bridges along this pathway now - thanks to The Monday Group - hope that they can attended to this soon.

Footpath or Bridleway, 27th April
I always thought that the path from the marked spot back up to Harvey’s Lane was a footpath. However, it seems to allow horses along it as part of the TROT scheme. As you can see from my photographs the route is now solid dried mud that is so uneven it would be easy to twist or break an ankle. Can this be permitted or should the landowner be made to put it right?
