Large pothole, 20th March
Very large pothole, filled with water. Immediately burst my tyre as we went through it. Hope filled with water and other road users on other side of road so not avoidable.

Flooding across road, 27th February
There is still flooding across the entire carriageway which freezes when the temperature falls. I have seen 3 accidents there where cars have hit the ice and left the road in the last 2 months. You've said before, it's run off from the fields, but it was continually flooding all last summer, so think the drainage needs sorting out.

Large hole either side of drain, 20th February
Despite being reported before since the end of 2023 the drain has lost all tarmac around it and is extremely dangerous as is in the line of your tyre. When it's full of water it is impossible to see and has the potential to cause serious damage.

At least two potholes plus one around the drain, 12th February
There are at least two large potholes all in close proximity to one another in the middle of the carriageway (hard to tell where one stops and another starts) plus the hole around the drain that was previously fixed has appeared again. This is making it increasingly hard to avoid hitting at least one of the holes! They are all deep and wide and have all been reported already, as long ago as December in some cases!

Blocked drains, 9th January
You don’t seem to have a category for blocked drains, but the drains are blocked all along the road to the point you have standing water on the carriageway and any salt you lay down in this weather will just be washed away, leaving you with black ice on a sharp bend. You also have a blocked drain with water running down the road on the other side after the bend near a house called White place

Yet another big pot hole, 29th December
This was repaired earlier in the year but due to poor repairs the LARGE pot hole has reappeared. It is impossible to avoid without actually stopping if something is coming the other way as it is in the line of the tyre

Water rushing across road, 11th November
There has been a large amount of water running across both carriageways for many months - even during the summer months - As the weather turns colder, this will likely freeze and cause a serious accident if it isn't dealt with as a matter of urgency. Also, if the water is coming from a fresh water main pipe, which I suspect it may be as it didn't subside in summer, it is wasting valuable water/money.

Weight Limit Sign broken and laying down since May 2023, 11th September
I reported this back in May 2023 but the sign is still down. This is resulting in a lot of heavy lorries choosing to ignore the restriction and driving through Wivelsfield Green village

Tarmac road has subsided around manhole., 21st August
This problem has been here for months and my garden backs onto this road. Every time a car goes over this it creates a horrendous noise. Obviously all hours of the day and night. I’m hoping that others who live in the actual close have highlighted this problem It will only get worse and will cause damage to the drain and public highway. I appreciate it being looked at very soon please.

ROAD SAFETY ISSUE Low growth on tree obscuring junction, 14th August
The tree on to East side of the South road at the School mini roundabout has a lot of low growth which is obscuring visibility at this junction. I've seen a couple of near misses where bikes and cars travelling towards Hundred Acre Lane have not been seen by cars travelling Westwards along South Rd. I was going to trim back the branches myself but what would I do with the wood???

Overhanging hedge, 1st August
The hedge alongside the house at junction of Allwood cres and Downsview Drive is very overhanging and I have watched an elderly gentleman negotiating it with a walking frame and his nurse/carer was unable to walk along side him. There are other hedges nearby that also need trimming back so that the pavement is returned to its correct width
This hedge has been reported by me before, and I got the message that it had been resolved!!! But in reality nothing has changed. The hedge still covers a lot of the pavement

Overhanging hedge, 28th June
This is Downsview Drive at the southern junction with Allwood Cres. The hedge belongs to No 38 Allwood Crescent The hedge has been obstructing the pavement for many years. I appreciate that cutting into the conifer hedge would leave an unsightly view for the houses opposite but if a 2m high fence was erected along the pavement boundary the hedge could be trimmed to the top of the fence, thus preserving the privacy of the garden. At the moment it is impossible to walk along the pavement without getting wet from brushing against the hedge. I know the owner has trimmed the hedge on occasions but it still overhangs.

Flooding across main road, 16th May
The road has been beautifully resurfaced, but there seems to be an ongoing, continuous flooding issue on the bend down past Up Country Garden Centre and the lay-by adjacent to Little Teagues Farm as you head down Scaynes Hill. This would be lethal if it froze.
Water is running quite rapidly across the road at all times.
