FIXMYSTREET IN BN6 9TE
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of BN6 9TE:
Massive pothole at least a foot deep and wide, 10th April
This is another failed repair which was filled a few months ago. Really dangerous to try to avoid on this 60mph narrow road. If you are unlucky enough to go down it you won't be continuing your journey. Seems like a merry go round with these fixes only lasting a few month's - fantastic job for life for the companies who are doing the repairs though!

Tree preservation order application, 8th April
A very large mature oak tree, with trunk diameter of at least 2 metres and an enormous canopy, which provides huge amenity to the local area. Firstly, it's a very important tree for views from the South Downs park, which it lies within. Those views including but not limited to from the South Downs way Jack and Jill section, from Wolstenbury Hill etc where it screens development and buildings to the South of Hurstpierpoint. Secondly it provides amenity to the residents of Albert Silsby Place, The Old Flower Field Lodges and other nearby properties in screening the commercial barns/buildings, storage, and piles of vehicles located to the West of the tree.
