Tree preservation order application, 8th April
A very large mature oak tree, with trunk diameter of at least 2 metres and an enormous canopy, which provides huge amenity to the local area. Firstly, it's a very important tree for views from the South Downs park, which it lies within. Those views including but not limited to from the South Downs way Jack and Jill section, from Wolstenbury Hill etc where it screens development and buildings to the South of Hurstpierpoint. Secondly it provides amenity to the residents of Albert Silsby Place, The Old Flower Field Lodges and other nearby properties in screening the commercial barns/buildings, storage, and piles of vehicles located to the West of the tree.

So you arrange for the verges to be cut and not the copious amounts of litter& debris that is strewn everywhere to be collected beforehand. Resulting in all this being shredded everywhere and causing even more of a mess.
Yet another council massively failing in your duty under the environmental protection act. You haven't litter picked this road for many years. It is covered in historic litter. It is absolutely disgusting. As a council you are a disgrace. It is about time that you and other councils that completely ignore your environmental responsibilities were taken to court and hit with Litter Abatement orders.
