Rubbish Strewn Everywhere, 26th April
Hi,
Lots of rubbish everywhere after the bin people came. I suspect this was a fox/seagull rather than due to the rubbish collection though.
This is the pedestrian bit between Elm Rd and Bampfield St in Portslade.
Thanks

More rubbish is dumped in Fishersgate Park, as I said before there is a CCTV camera on the side of the [portable cabin] that will no doubt have picked up the vehicle dumping rubbish. Pothole left, despite road resurfacing today -11th April, 11th April
Can you please help get the pothole outside my home (3 Clarke Avenue) fixed. It has been filled once and today’s event has really pushed me to my limits. There were road people resurfacing road from the lights at Clarke Avenue / Hangleton Road but they have stopped well about 10 meters from it. They have even left their signs relatively near it.
I am concerned the damage it could do to our cars when we use our driveway, or when cars pass as some times, we find bits of the road on the pavement crossover. I am now going to hold the council liable for any damage, and hope you can actually get the road resurfaced further. I appreciate there is lots of holes but this has been filled before and the road repairs they did wasn’t as bad as this area. I really do not feel that my council tax is being used efficiently, and am tempted to withhold it.

2x 10 inch potholes, 9th April
We have had 2 pothole repairs that were only filled with gravel, which has subsequently come out. So, now we have 2 potholes surrounded by clumps of gravel. One pothole is mid way in Shelldale Avenue the second in in Shelldale Crescent! It’s going to cause car damage, especially at night! Our road is right on outskirts of Brighton and Hove boundary and is totally over looked. We never see a road sweeper of someone to clear weeds. We don’t have consistent refuse/recycling collections. When we do the bin collectors absolutely never pick up what gets dropped, making street look shabby’

Many potholes In Mile Oak Road, 20th March
There are several , possibly 9 potholes now all situated along Mile Oak Road making driving dangerous since cars approaching them have no option but to either abruptly stop and block up the road or swerve to the other side of the road into oncoming traffic to avoid them. They are big enough to DAMAGE OUR TYRES AND OUR CARS and we the public cannot continue to keep paying out for these repairs. Furthermore, some of these potholes are alarmingly increasing in size. It is about time that the Highways department were seen out and about inspecting these and highlighting them with florescent paint in order drivers can avoid them especially at night. More has to be done about all this. Monies has to be invested into our roads - what exactly are our local Councillors doing about all this???
