Dead vermin in hedge / bush, 23rd April

Tue, 23 Apr 2024 20:19:09 +0100
50.767842 0.130893

I’ve just seen a post on Facebook group ‘lost and found pets, Seaford eastbourne’ that a vermin company has been seen dumping dead vermin in a bush / hedge in this location. This is dangerous for wildlife and pets who will eat the dead, poisoned vermin. This must be a regular occurrence as why would they randomly do this? Just sharing the information in hopes this will be cleaned up.

Bus layby completely broken up, 5th April

Fri, 05 Apr 2024 09:47:51 +0100

The bus stop, opposite the Downs Leisure Centre, has been in a very poor state of repair for over 6 month but has now reached a point whereby buses are unable to pull in to the kerb until the far end of the layby. Some while back, the layby by A259 / Manor Road North was completely rebuilt and resulted in a great job. Such action is needed urgently here.

Hi, we live opposite this pelican crossing. It appears the East-facing set on the south side of Sutton Road BN25 has been struck by a tall vehicle, and is now facing across the carriageway (and into our living room) rather than along the road towards the oncoming traffic.

Area around the manhole cover is deep, 28th February

Wed, 28 Feb 2024 17:06:04 +0000

On th junction of Alfriston Road and Sutton Drove there is a manhole cover with a pothole completely around it. This is the worst of 4 manhole covers along this road. This hole has been marked in the past to be repaired but of yet it hasn't been repaired. I have seen so many drivers drive into this hole because they are unable to pass it because of oncoming traffic, Alfriston Road is a very busy road including a bus route and heavy traffic due to a industrial site near by.

Overgrown hedgerow blocking footpath, 27th February

Tue, 27 Feb 2024 21:26:20 +0000
50.77351 0.126249

The hedgerow on the A259, Eastbourne road, both sides of the junction of Badgers Copse are overgrown, making it difficult or impossible to stick to the footpath. Pedestrians have to walk along the muddy verge to get past. The ivy also needs cutting back along the edge of the path in order to resort the path to its original width, making the path easier to use.

The overgrown hedgerow is making it impossible to use the footpath. As can been seen from the wearing out of the grass, people are unable to use the footpath. The ivy also needs cutting back from the edge of the footpath to restore the path back to it's original width so people do not need to walk on the verge.

Patchwork of disgusting repairs at crossing near roundabout for pedestrians crossing from one side of Sutton Avenue to the other side. This is a marked crossing area. And used by many people and children going back and forwards to Seaford Head School. THE REPLY TO MY ORIGINAL COMPLAINT WAS ‘NO WORK REQUIRED’

It is an area where people cross the road and busy with school children crossing to go to Seaford Head school and back. The many holes have been patched and it is extremely dangerous as it is a real trip hazard. I use the crossing almost daily and have to take great care not to trip.
