Dangerous speed, 17th September
This road is used as a cut through and people come flying over the bridge of which you cannot see any oncoming traffic. I have horses at the stables just on the other side of the bridge and have now had 2 incidents which have resulted in the horse being injured as a result of people unaware of horses on the road and the speed of which they come over the bridge

Very dangerous large pothole, 10th December
The pothole is on the A56 between Thornton in Craven and the junction to Elslack travelling towards Skipton. It is a very large and deep pothole near the verge on what can be a very busy 60mph road hence it is very difficult and dangerous to try and photograph. There is no footpath access to the location. It is a bit difficult to actually pinpoint the exact place as it is just over a slight brow. It's probably 12" X 12" and 3" deep.

Pedestrian refuge on A56 in as sorry state., 11th September
In Thornton in Craven on the A56 ( Colne Road) there is a pedestrian refuge at the 30 mph sign on the NE side of the village. I drove through on Saturday 9.9.17. The bollards and lighting pole were in a filthy state. This was made worse by the large overhanging tress which make the area gloomy .

Improve Road between Thornton in Craven and Earby, 11th December
I am surprised at the poor markings that are on this section of the A56. Please could you undertake works to put roadside markers and clearer signage on this section of road. Are there any plans to reduce the speed limit? I am surprised that anyone can do this road above 50mph.
I understand that this section of road is shared between North Yorkshire County Council and Lancashire County Council and sits remote to the bases for your Highways departments but with the shorter days, I am finding this road very concerning to drive particularly in the evenings.

Collapsing and Dangerous Road, 12th August
I know that you are aware that the road is collapsing here on Mill Brow Road, Earby. Please can you tell me when work is going to be done,-
a)temporary repair
b) permanent repair. Also to mention that the whole of Mill Brow Road, Red Lion Street,Water Street, Earby, the road surface is very, very poor and needs resurfacing as a high priority, this I believe is dangerous as there are potholes and rivulet type channels making the surface very uneven, along the whole road.
