Multiple potholes at both entrances onto Higher Ridings and at the bottom of Higher Ridings near Lower Tong., 10th April
These have been getting progressively worse over the last 6 months. I would suspect most of the residents on this estate are paying their council tax bills.

Still not fixed!, 10th April
Reported pothole three weeks ago and it has still not been fixed! It’s been painted around. There are also many other potholes appeared in the same location due to this section of road in a state of disrepair. It’s had several previous potholes filled so Blackburn Council is aware this main road has issues with its surface. How about resurfacing this area instead of keep returning and wasting tax payers money on cheap repairs knowing full well this is not going to resolve this issue? This is a main A road so needs to be correctly resurfaced!

Big pothole., 21st March
Big pothole on a poor road area. This area has had several recent repairs done and more potholes have appeared next to the repairs. Why don’t you just resurface the full area instead of repeatedly return to do cheap repairs? This road is in a state of disrepair and will only deteriorate further. It’s gone past it’s life span.

Reported manhole defect., 18th March
Someone else reported this dangerous manhole will exposed ironworks all around it months ago and you have failed to repair! And before you state it’s in Blackburn and Darwen Boundary they have confirmed it’s in Bolton’s. This is lethal to cyclists and if hit at speed will injure or kill. It also poses a serious risk of damage to vehicles but it’s Bolton Councils policy to ignore until something happens. We have overwhelming evidence of this approach and this will be added to the rest of the examples of failings from your department. I noticed this last Sunday after attending my gun range on Scout road. I will also be checking after I go shooting this Sunday if you have actually been bothered to fix it.

Manhole/potholes, 11th March
On returning from Scout road Gun club on Sunday I noticed there is a manhole with potholes around it and over 50% of the ironworks is exposed. I have noticed someone else has reported this months ago which doesn’t surprise me that nothing has been actioned in repairing. It’s just constant failures within Highways department and constantly putting motorists and cyclists at risk of damage or injuries. Time the people in chat of this department are investigated for negligence.
