Junior Goalposts Abandoned at Adlington Jubilee Rec Grnd, 26th July
Two junior goalposts are chained to a tree at the Jubilee Recreation Ground. They appeared around the time of the Adlington Carnival a week and a half ago, though we didn't see them in use. Inevitably they have been vandalised. Some plastic pieces have been smashed, and an expensive repair would be needed if even possible. It might be worth asking Adlington Community Events/John Bird if they intend removing the posts.

Excessive speed, 3rd July
Cars seem to be using Crown Lane in Horwich as a racetrack. The speed limit is 30 MPH and boy racers are often doing almost double this. There are no police ever on the lane unless they are using it to go somewhere else. Local councillors seem to be interested when they need a vote but nothing gets done otherwise.

Jubilee rec metal litter bin liner thrown in canal, 25th May
Somehow a metal liner has been removed from a litter bin on the canal side of the park. It has been thrown in the canal and is now next to the roller which was pushed in the canal back in the 1990s.
People perhaps haven't realised that the bin has no liner and they're putting litter and poop bags in it.
It looks a tricky job to remove the bin liner from the canal, I'm afraid.
