Raised Manhole which United Utilities isn't for them to repair., 14th March
I have been in contact with United Utilities regarding a raised manhole cover. They have advised me that as this isn't raised / damaged but due to erosion of concreate they would not fix it. This manhole I believe sits at the start of the public footpath / right of way and is now causing a trip hazard and danger to the public. The erosion is being caused mainly from water running down from the hills above Ramsbottom. United Utilities told me that if you tell them to fix it and fill in a form they will, they have also told me that they cannot authorise the residents to fix it as its their property. Can someone please advise how this can be made safe. Thanks

Fence badly damaged for several hundred metres along southbound Edenfield bypass/A56 Dual Carriageway between Hardsough Lane and Church LaneeH, 19th February
Dear National Highways Much of the perimeter highway fencing on the Edenfield Bypass/A56 Dual Carriageway to Stables at Pinfold across from Esk Avenue off Blackburn Road Edenfield is either down following recent storms or already in a serious state of disrepair. We understand this to be the responsibility of National Highways as it borders the bypass. Livestock are kept in stables and fields abutting this stretch of the bypass, and there is now serious concern that either they could escape onto the bypass, or vehicles could leave the bypass and come crashing through endangering them, creating further danger of escaping animals and endangering those using the land to tend their livestock. The crash barrier should also be repaired and strengthened to further reduce this risk. Fencing and barrier work has recently been carried out on the other side of the bypass, and we expected this was part of a programme to also address the issues on our side. This hasn't happened and the problem has got worse following recent storms. We hope this can be attended to as a matter of urgency. Many thanks.

The whole of bridge st needs resurfacing. Worse part is from the sweet shop up to the traffic lights. It’s not a good look for Ramsbottom. Out of towners must want to turn round before they have even got parked up as they smash there way over all the rough road surfaces.
Come on bury Council let’s invest in Ramsbottoms infrastructure.

Temporary traffic lights, 17th November
Temporary traffic lights are situated each side of the exit of 55 stubbins lane. Upon exiting this section you are unable to see what colour the lights are on controlling two lines of traffic which essentially means there’s a significant risk you will head towards traffic head on without any where to go as it’s single track. I have witnessed two very close incidents in the last 10mins
