Road not fit to drive on, 19th June
The section from the bottom of the hill to the bend at the top is in an appalling state and in desperate need of proper repair. The road has broken up that much that it is impossible to drive safely on your own side of the road without causing some form of damage to your vehicle from repeatedly having to drive through the potholes. The council have previously attempted to fix it, but obviously a good job was not done as it is now worse than it was before.

Roadside hedge has not just been pruned it is completely smashed off., 16th March
An appalling way to treat a hedge and debris left lying around. Also looks like it has been done recently which is the wrong time of year. Hedges are so important, this one will not recover before the next onslaught.

Dangerous condition of the road surfacing, 9th March
It is a s bend with appalling road conditions on the left side approaching from Bolton by Bowland side. You either have to brave being in the centre of the carriageway. Or into the banking as you will see that the banking has been well driven on. This is an accident waiting to happen.

Roadside channels and pipe under road are not working and so adjacent field is filling and is about to cause major flood on A59 Gisburn., 9th February
Emergency. Spittle Syke runs adjacent A59 at Gisburn and then crosses under road via culvert (near Strawberry Fields and End House Stud) from whence it drains into Stock Beck. When the underground culvert is blocked the water settle in the field opposite Strawberry Fields. Unless immediate action is taken the road and roadside properties will be vulnerable to flooding! Clearing the entrance to the culvert should allow normal and adequate drainage to resume. Needs immediate attention.

Large section of road uneven, 9th December
A large section of the road that stretches from just before to just after woodlands on both sides of the road is very uneven with 2 large potholes as well. Becoming a hazard and could damage car tyres.

There are many potholes, extending c. 50m round a left bend, which caused a motorcycle to crash on 31/3/2019. This resulted in considerable damage, and personal injury (police attended). These holes have been developing for many months.
