New traffic calming measures causing queues, and it's in a dangerous place, 8th December
Recently there has been a new traffic calming island added at this spot, which means that cars coming up the hill have priority, with cars travelling away from Guide having to give way. At peak times, there are lengthy queues for traffic travelling towards Guide, and these often block the road here, meaning cars coming from the Guide direction are also queuing as they can't get through. This island is also in a dangerous position because of the incline - cars that are giving way cannot see cars coming up the hill when they are behind a vehicle that is in front. There is also a bend shortly after this where again cars cannot be seen. The queues must be annoying the residents here because they now have vehicles queuing in both directions, polluting their air outsides their homes. A really bad decision to install this island here, it urgently needs removing.
