Road in terrible state, 8th January
The whole of Mount Pleasant Lane is full of potholes! The verges are in a terrible state, full of deep mud which gets onto the road. The road needs to be relaid. As soon as a pothole is filled it breaks again. It seems a waste of money to keep doing this.

Very deep pothole, 8th January
This pothole has been here since early December. Highly dangerous to drivers, cyclists etc could throw someone off motorcycle. When it rains it fills with water and cannot be seen.

Road in a terrible state, 15th January
The entire length of Mount Pleasant Lane is terrible,as we live here we use this road every day and it is getting worse. The edges of the road are broken and not visible because of either mud on the road or standing water,some potholes and the verges have been utterly spoilt where impatient drivers cannot reverse to a safe place to pass but churn up the verges. It is a busy road used as a short cut by some, horses are exercised on it daily and more houses have been built therefore more cars. It really needs resurfacing, proper passing places and if necessary humps on the road to deter people who don’t need to use it ,please do something to improve it

Flood in verge, 15th January
The verge is full of muddy water it’s like a bog. Because we use this road daily people often expect to be able to pass each other here (it’s a single track road) if you pulled onto it you wouldn’t get out!!!!

Road signage inadequate, 14th October
There is increased traffic up and down the lane- a lot more bikes and alot more white vans- last Friday there was a serious crash between a bicycle and a vehicle. (7 Oct 2022) the cyclist sustained fractures to the spine and skull. We dont know the outcome. 2 years ago a cyclist sustained life changing injuries when he was involved in an accident lower down the lane. THERE NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED ROAD SIGNS AND ROAD MARKINGS

Bridge across stream is rotting away, 1st May
Wooden bridge across stream between two fields is starting to rot and although currently passable with care there are large gaps which could cause injury.

Road signs worn away, 23rd July
It has been several years since SLOW signs were painted on the road to warn drivers of a built up area with animals, children and domestic crossings, there has been an increased usage in the past few years with cyclists. van deliveries and cars taking short cuts so as to make the lane hazardous. The grass on the verges alsao needs some attention since visibility is impaired.
