Road flooding - urgent action required, 26th October

Sat, 26 Oct 2019 12:03:49 +0100
52.691864 -1.720152

The road is flooding due to gullies blocked by leaves. I have freed off one gulley but can do nothing with six others and the road is almost flooded completely across. There is also significant flooding around the corner on the Shrubbery where another gulley is blocked and this has beena recurrent problem for years. The flooding is significant and action is urgently required.

Pothole, 14th December

Sat, 14 Dec 2013 19:05:34 +0000
52.700125 -1.746813

There is a large deep pothole along the side of the tarmac northbound along Stockford Lane between Whittington and Alrewas. There is a high risk of hitting the pothole when encountering oncoming traffic. I hit the pothole and blew two tyres on the nearside of my car. I hit it during daylight meaning that I had time to brace myself for impact. However, this pothole could have more damaging consequences for night time users of the road.

Litter from Lichfield Marathon, 8th May

Wed, 08 May 2013 23:26:27 +0100
52.710457158226 -1.7495404197848

I walked my dog for about a mile along Stockford lane down to where it meets Fine Lane on the edge of Fradley and spotted over 40 empty water bottles which have been discarded by the runners during the Marathon last weekend (The bottles are the same as those available at the water stations on the day). I am not familiar with the marathon route but if this section is typical of the rest of the route then someone has seriously failed in the cleaning up operation. In addition to the bottles, there are various energy drink soft containers also thrown in the hedges.

Flooded road, 11th January

Fri, 11 Jan 2013 12:54:56 +0000
52.703398881469 -1.7468147569093

It is likely that the highway drain beneath the road is blocked. At the 90 degree bend, surface water has not drained from the road surface, which is covering the whole width of the road, just after the bend and so dangerous for motorcyclists.
