FIXMYSTREET IN B31 3PY
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of B31 3PY:
Road sweeper parked in dangerous place, 6th May
The council road sweeper is parked directly off a major busy round about blocking visibility for people coming out of the austin care home and people coming off the round about. It’s also taking up the majority of the pedestrian path way. Today I was nearly in an accident as I was edging out of the care home carefully, a car came from the round about with no visibility from off the roundabout. I spoke to the care home staff and apparently near accidents happen all the time and the road sweeper is always parked there for most of the day every day. It’s extremely dangerous for drivers, pedestrians, school children as it’s next to a crossing, the care home staff and I imagine the elderly who live in the care home and their families visiting.

Large poles under bridge, 28th April
There are recurring potholes under the bridge on station road northfield. These have been reported on many occasions. The potholes are dangerous and unavoidable as the passage is very narrow so cars pass in single file. There is no space to avoid the holes. Please could this be looked at urgently. Mill lane also needs to be resurfaced as it is very bumpy, uneven and riddled with more potholes.

Ivy causing damage to my property, 23rd April
There is a council owned children's respite home next to my property, there is a public access alleyway dividing the 2 buildings but the ivy and overgrowth is getting beyond a joke, I have already paid someone £100 to try and cut it back as best they can't but it is growing over from the hedge/fence which separates the areas, I am experiencing mold build up where the ivy is growing and consistently having woodlice getting into the porch way via a crack that has been created by the ivy.

Several large dangerous potholes, 13th April
There are several potholes around the island (Man on the Moon pub island) located by the junction with Wast Hills Lane/Redditch Road (with Man on the Moon pub opposite).
Potholes continue on the Redditch Road carriageway up towards the island at the top of Longbridge Lane on both sides.
On the island, cars are slowing right down as these potholes, which cannot be avoided due to the size of them, will be damaging if driven at normal speed. For cyclists, they are dangerous.
Driving along the carriageway towards the small island at the top of Longbridge Lane or away from the island towards the Man on the Moon pub island, there are several large, deep potholes which again cannot be avoided without swerving out into the lane of oncoming traffic.
These potholes have been getting progressively worse over the last few months. It’s not the first time these potholes have been reported so somebody needs to take notice of what people are saying, who drove over these potholes every day before damage/accidents happen and compensation claims are submitted against the council who are ignoring these warnings!
