Fly Posting, 2nd August
First report:
Schoolbags: This company is a rampant fly poster.
They posted 2 in Banbridge a few weeks ago almost identical to the one pictured here. ABC Council served a notice which they ignored. ABC Council removed one on Monday. The other one appeared to have been removed by a member of the public.
The company KNOW these are not allowed.
However, I notice their Lisburn store has also posted at least two around Sprucefield. This is on the Belfast bound lane (left side) between the two roundabouts as depicted by the pin.
The second, not pictured, is located on the road towards Lisburn. Go past the Costa Coffee on the right, go under the bridge and it's affixed to the barriers on the waste ground on the right hand side.
Can you please get notice served, remove and fine as required? Fines are the only language this company seems to understand.
Second report:
Not pictured. DK Sheds and Joinery.
This company is a rampant fly poster.
These posters have been posted in Sprucefield, Banbridge, Glenshane Pass, Dungiven. These spotted by myself on a journey to the Northwest recently.
ABC Council have written to them. They KNOW these signs are not allowed. A member of the public tore the sign down in Banbridge a few weeks ago.
There are at least two of these signs around Sprucefield.
First: At the roundabout going towards Belfast affixed to a post (you would turn left at it to go to B&Q). And the second is affixed to the traffic light as you go under the bridge towards Lisburn after passing the Costa Coffee.
It would seem wherever this company install a shed they seem to dump signage along the way.
Can you please serve a notice, remove the signs and fine as required. Fines are the only language this company understands.
I expect these signs are littered all over our country.
Lastly. The area around Sprucefield is a magnet for fly posters. Can you please get your team down there to photograph and serve notice? Posters, trucks parked over pavements, trailers dumped in layby. The whole area is a mess.
Thank you

Cairnmore drive road sign, 11th February
The street signs of Cairnmore Drive are nearly unreadable. Other road signs in the area are clear or new. The ones in this street are faded, worn and need replaced. It let's down the area and those of us who live here. It can be difficult to read during darker hours so delivery/taxi drivers find it hard to find you.
