Poor quality repair, 27th February
Recently, the footpath was “repaired” after a previous “patch” failed. The folks who installled the street furniture have left the footpath in a terrible state, and successive “repairs” only make it worse. The current repair is of poor quality tarmac, that’s soft underfoot and very uneaven. Trip hazard. Also. It seems that the contractors have driven over the soft grass at the entrance to the Ardnavalley development and damaged the turf.

Use of parking spaces, 18th February
4 parking spaces and 1 disabled space. Being used by tenants in adjacent flats and shop owners all day. Making it very difficult for others to park eg visit post office. Could a sign be erected stating short stay only. Mill St is very narrow making parking almost impossible. The above spaces are the only spaces in Mill St.

Raw sewage bubbling up from manhole, 8th July
On the footpath, Killinchy Road, Comber, just between the Texaco garage and the Ghiest Hole, there is a manhole with raw sewage bubbling up intermittently. It’s been on and off for a fortnight now. It is stinking. Toilet paper etc over the majority of the pavement, and worst of all, it’s pouring into the verge, where it’s looking, and seeping down the slope into the Comber River.

Very rough road and potholes at junction on A22 from Belfast direction on LHS, 5th June
The potholes and deterioration of the road makes conditions very dangerous for cyclists coming from the Greenway into Comber. Cyclists are forced into the middle of the road where vehicles approach the junction at high speed. Cyclists must avoid the poor conditions of the road on the LHS which would, at the least be very unconfortable and unstable to cycle on and at worst result in a cyclist falling into oncoming traffic resulting in serious injury or death. This risk is heightened by impatient drivers on their commute home who rev their engines in frustration. Please carry out the necessary maintainance on this road and throughout the roads within Comber linking to the Greenway for the safety of all road users include vulnerable cyclists.

Multiple potholes where roads dug up, 5th March
Dermott Road, Comber, BT23 road leading in is covered in potholes making if very difficult driving, some of the holes very deep and large. Been this way for a very long time. Continues right along the road leading to Dermott Avenue.

24"x12" pothole outside 18 Glenariff Drive, Comber, 16th May
This pothole started during the cold spell in early winter but has got steadily worse over the last 6 weeks. Passing cars are now spraying loose stones across the road (into our driveway) and at some point are liable to damage parked or passing vehicles.

School sign misaligned, 4th July
This sign has been the wrong way for many months. Cars speed past the church and school entrance just 30 yards further on. There should be warning signs larger than this along with flashing lights.
