Road very bad, 6th June
Residents of the Derriaghy Rd have been in touch so many times about the complete rd needing resurfaced, potholes keep getting filled then few weeks later needing done again. Surely this is a waste of rate payers money having to continue filling things in when a complete resurfacing would last for years.

Tree Preservation Order application, 12th August
Two large Ash trees together, a third located on the inside of a fence, in the nearby apartments, since following the construction of apartment flats and it's fence in the early 2000's. In the past there were four, the fourth once located between the three remaining has since been removed. The protection these trees offer to local wildlife and birds, aswell as adding aesthetic to the local community cannot be over-looked or over-stated. My fear is that one day either the council or others would apply to have them removed. These trees have pre-existed the housing estate and should be respected as an integral part of the local community.

Unable to walk along footpaths with my baby and pram due to weeds and dirt very unsafe., 8th January
Footpaths are never looked after in this area making it impossible to walk on. It is worse especially in the summer I have to walk on the road with the pram in some areas as the weeds grow so high. This is very dangerous and would like to be able to enjoy a walk in my area without danger.

BT cabinet covered in grafitti, 29th August
BT cabinet covered in graffiti at corner of Gardenmore Road/Summerhill Rd. Also another nearby utility cabinet on Gardenmore road facing St Mark's PS. BT told me they are not responsible for graffiti & to phone BT Openreach, who then told me they only deal with damaged cabinets. I demanded an answer to who was available & was put on hold and then eventually cut off.

Hole in Road, 7th April
Early this morning while travelling home to Lisburn from Belfast, just past the top of the Barnfield Road, my sister's car ran over a hole in the road. This hole could not be seen and there was no warning notice. As the car travelled over the hole there was a loud bang which frightened us but we travelled on into Lisburn where we heard a loud pop. When we reached home the back right tyre had flatened and it was burning hot. She had intended to travel back to Belfast to collect more people but they had to be telephoned and taxis taken - various costs here. At this point in time she is unable to say if serious damage has been done to her car.

Road not gritted/Traffic lights out this morning, 15th January
This juction is quite difficult for drivers usually and filter lights are needed as tthere are many near accidents. Made much worse this morning as the Derriaghy Rd wasn't gritted and the road at the junction was thick with ice. Also traffic lights were out due to yet another accident as debris lay on far side of road.

Lamp Posts not working, 3rd January
We have 3 broken lamp posts in the Lagmore Glen area (see map), the lamposts are situated in a small side road leading to the apartments. This area is mainly used by pedestrians walking through the area. The lights that are out are creating a dark space under which crowds of anti-social youths are gathering in turn causing all sorts of problems for the residents. The issue has been raised with the local councilor. If we could have some out to change the bulbs in these lamp posts it would be a great help.

Water damage to road/no pulblic transport, 24th October
The Belsize Road has been out of operation since July 2012 (but DRD only put a notice in the paper in October). Because of this there is no bus service to and from Belfast (530 and 532) to the Milltown area. The drivers claim Translink is not insured for the normal buses to turn at Milltown so won't go up the Derriaghy Road. I have asked for a Busy Bus to be put on instead but they say they haven't the resources. People have to walk to and from the Cutts if they need to travel and many are not able or have difficulty. The issue is with the roads and the bus service. The road is taking too long to fix and the winter is nearly upon us. I dread to think what it will be like walking in the dark in the ice and snow. I'd be very grateful if you could help.
