Multiple deep potholes between Auchlee - Cairnwell - A90 junction, 29th July

Mon, 29 Jul 2019 15:32:15 +0100
57.062372 -2.170443

The road from the A90 near Portlethen to Swellhead Farm area (via Cairnwell & Auchlee) is is a very bad condition in places. There are multiple deep potholes and areas of degraded road surface. This has already cost me damage to my 2 front car tyres. The main areas of concern are: 100-200m E of Auchlee, and +/-100m E of Cairnwell. However, the whole road could do with inspection. Most of the potholes could be relatively easily fixed by patching with tarmac.

AB12 5YT - Road damage and manhole cover increased noise!, 2nd March

Thu, 02 Mar 2017 14:30:11 +0000
57.0828 -2.200534

The C5K road through Maryculter East hamlet is intensively used by AWPR traffic. AWPR heavy trucks (>15Te) transporting crushed material from Rock Crush facility near Burnhead on their way to the cement facility at Charlton. The C5K road condition at location is getting worse and the manhole cover is creating a noise with traffic driving over it (noise getting worse). My kind request is to review and this road section to be repaired and the manhole cover to be fixed. The postcode AB12 5YT brings you direct to the area of concern (in front of my gate).

There are many potholes along this road adjacent to the Devenick Dairy. In some places there are pot holes on both sides of the road and so not possible to avoid. I estimate depth of some of the potholes as 3 to 5 inches.

Parking in street during working hours, 22nd September

Thu, 22 Sep 2011 10:37:13 +0100
57.071003085023 -2.1525774727628

Employees of companies ( Halliburton in particular) in this street regularly park on North side of the road during the working day. This results in the road effectively becoming a single lane road for much of the day. Quite often resulting in traffic entering the industrial estate and having negotiated the corner leading into this straight with traffic on their side of the road. This inevitability leads to congestion and increased risk for all road users. The company in question has adequate parking accommodation within its premises for all employees, but many choose not to use the provided onsite parking spaces, but choose to park in the road. There is no direction or incentive form the company to direct staff otherwise. My understanding is also that planning permission for the building stipulated that staff park onsite rather than in the road, I am unsure if this is still the case , but common sense would suggest that best practice would be to encourage staff to park in the parking places provided rather than the road.
