Exeter is around a 25-minute drive away, while Newton Abbot is approximately 10 minutes away. There are also multiple busses which stop in the local area, offering access to Torquay and Paignton bus stations.

When it comes to education, the area is served by three primary schools, St. Mary's Catholic Primary School, Ellacombe Church of England Academy, and Ilsham Church of England Primary School, as well as secondaries such as Torquay Academy and Churston Ferrers Grammar School. There are also multiple independent schools nearby, such as The King's School and Torquay Boys' Grammar School.

TQ14 is a great place to live, ideally located near lots of the great beaches and attractions Torquay has to offer. It also has great access to other towns and cities in the county, as well as excellent schooling options, making it a great postcode for young families.
