SM4 is a postcode located in the borough of Sutton, south London. The postcode itself covers the post towns of Morden, Morden Park and part of St Helier, encompassing the major settlements of Lower Morden and St Helier.

Lower Morden is a pleasant residential area that is mainly made up of private residences and housing estates dating back to the 1930s. It is close to a number of excellent transport links, with the A217 and A24 nearby, plus frequent bus services to the city and further afield.

The Morden Park area of SM4 is home to a variety of parkland, open spaces, public footpaths and nature reserves. There's the peaceful Grotto Garden, the Firestone Pond Nature Reserve and the lovely Morden Hall Park. The park is owned and managed by the National Trust, and is known for its stunning river and bridge walks, a range of historic buildings, recreational activities, riverside cafés and plenty of wildlife.

St Helier is the largest settlement in SM4, with much of its original housing stock in need of modernisation or restoration. Comprised principally of 1930s semi-detached homes and purpose-built flats, St Helier is well known for a good selection of secondary and primary schools, as well as a variety of shops and restaurants.

The presence of St. Helier Hospital only a few minutes away, along with the nearby Horseheadstones Lake Nature Reserve, make this area a desirable place to live. The presence of a selection of churches, from the incredible St Helier's Church to the simple but impressive Christ Church adds to the area's historical importance and atmosphere.

SM4 has a great range of local amenities and attractions, from the nearby Morden Athletic Ground sports complex, to multiplex cinemas, leisure centres, bowling alleys, golf courses and health clubs. The area also offers good public transport links, including six railway stations, five of which are on the London Underground Network. With its pleasant atmosphere and easy access to nearby attractions and amenities, SM4 has become a popular place for both London professionals and families.
