Dulwich is well known for its creative and diverse atmosphere. It has a range of parks, outdoor activities, and seasonal festivals, and is home to numerous independent shops, galleries, and cafes. There are also several museums and historic buildings in the area, such as the Horniman Museum and the Dulwich Picture Gallery.

The SE27 postcode also offers good transport links. National Rail services from West Norwood and Gipsy Hill provide services to London Victoria, London Bridge and London Overground. Stations in the area are served by London Buses, with routes covering much of South London.
