Located in Devon, Ex15 is a postcode district covering an area of 51.07 square miles and is a rural area made up of small villages and hamlets. To the north lies the district of East Devon and to the south the district of Teignbridge.

Ex15 consists of seven post town districts. These are Cullompton, Honiton, Tiverton, Crediton, Chawleigh, Uffculme, Sampford Peverell. Crediton is a large town with few amenities while the other post towns are mainly villages or have small populations. Not too far away, Exmouth and Exeter are the bigger cities for more services and facilities.

In Ex15, there are three areas of special scientific interest (SSSI). They are White Down and Otterhead Lakes, Eastford Meadow and Sticklepath Stream. White Down consists of two small independent water bodies, a broad-leaved woodland, herbaceous vegetation and wet acid stony grassland. Eastford Meadow is a lowland meadow with diverse species of grasses, herbs and rushes. Furthermore, Sticklepath Stream is a small shallow river surrounded by woods and meadows, with a variety of wildlife habitats.

The climate is temperate with mild winters but experiences some variability in weather from day to day. The average maximum summer temperature is 21°c. precipitation shows some variation but is generally low, averaging around 600mm per year.

The area provides excellent opportunities for walking, cycling and bird watching, with access to a variety of habitats. There are also a wide variety of local events such as farmers markets, festivals and art trails. The area is served by bus routes, with some local services and others running into Exeter and further afield across Devon and the South West of England.

Ex15 has an economy that focuses on both agriculture and food production. Arable crop production is a major industry, with farms producing wheat, potatoes, maize, and other cereals. Dairy and sheep farming are also major contributors, with some areas in Ex15 known for their high-quality pedigree herd sheep. Furthermore, the large estates hold significant areas of woodland providing a niche market for quality timber. Leisure activities and tourism are also important in the area, with local attractions such as museums and gardens.

The area is known for its stunning views over the East Devon hills, the North and East Devon AONB and the Jurassic coast. The nearby Blackdown Hillsides are also a popular destination, located between Exeter, Somerset and Dorset.
