4" deep potholes here and 10 others along Back Lane., 2nd January
Back Lane, Hale, is much in need of maintenance before either a vehicle is damaged or a pedestrian is injured. In the 32 years I have lived on Back Lane the road has never been resurfaced. Potholes frequently appear and large ares of the lane flood when it rains. Owing to the lane being narrow the potholes cannot be avoided by car. They are also a hazard to pedestrians as it isn't possible to have either a pavement or grass verge on which to walk. The lack of street lighting (now) increases the hazard. The current potholes have reappeared in the last few months after they had been patched up. In fact much of the lane is a tarmac patchwork which is unsatisfactory. There are four businesses on this lane as well as residents. It would be appreciated if the problems could be rectified please. Thank you.
