These have been here a while but due to the constant flooding and farm vehicles have got steadily worse over the last month, one appears to have been half filled but the others are still a big issue

1 metre pot hole after the bridge out of Sadberge on Middleton road, 12th February

Mon, 12 Feb 2024 09:54:39 +0000
54.542636 -1.472823

The pot hole was full of water, which I went in, causing my tyre pop. So unfortunately I need new tyre and will be claiming from the council. Looking closer it has white marks around it. I went back and placed a cone in the pot hole to prevent further problems.

These traffic lights have been out of action for a few weeks with no signage. There was a major accident on Friday the 8th, and this was largely down to the lack of traffic light signals. Please rectify this immediately, before any more injuries occur.

There are potholes everywhere all over the road, 29th May

Theres potholes in the entire Road itself it is a danger the young children cycling up and down its breaking people's suspension wheels overtime it puts the tracking of your vehicle out of line and all because the council won't fix it what is the excuse? You get paid a month after month after month year after year after year and you still don't fix the problem but you fix little tiny back lains where nobody goes why has people's life have to be putting danger before you do it....????

Ridiculous speed restrictions on A66, 29th November

Tue, 29 Nov 2022 13:59:19 +0000
54.54438 -1.466829

Without using the safety for all cliche, Can someone explain why there is 40mph speed limit on both sides of A66 all day, when its only night work taking place, no lanes are out and are at full width with barriers still in place? Near Stockton there is a 50mph restriction but with men working daily in the road, narrow lanes and temp barriers. (no speed cameras). As there are average speed cameras on the 40 mph bit both ways it looks like a money making exercise. Maybe the National highways xmas party is a bit low on funds this year

Traffic speeding through the village, 19th October

Wed, 19 Oct 2022 13:30:35 +0100
54.545911 -1.472441

Request more 30 signs to be installed within the village, or some other traffic calming measures. Very difficult for pedestrians to cross the main roads through the village, Middleton road, Stockton road and Norton road, all effected. Speeding traffic and numerous parked cars restricting view of oncoming vehicles. A pedestrian crossing in the centre & 30 signs actually in the village, not just on the approach might be helpful. Resident request for review of the road safety within Sadberge, DL2. Please.

Accident waiting to happen, 23rd August

Tue, 23 Aug 2022 13:34:52 +0100
54.548134 -1.472548

I recently moved into Chapel Row (though the address is Goodwood Close). I have been surprised at how dangerous this junction is! The photo is the view from the junction onto Hill House Lane. Most drivers accelerate hard down this hill, more often than not because they will have had to wait at the crossroads with Middleton Road. The visibility is reduced due to the vegetation on the the right side (looking up the hill), there is no signage to indicate the junction itself and no white lines on the roadside. It really is an accident waiting to happen.

Traffic light malfunction (in my opinion), 21st March

Mon, 21 Mar 2022 00:59:52 +0000
54.531726 -1.508117

Travelling west from A66 towards Mcmullen Road, Darlington I have been stopped whilst approaching the traffic light on very quiet Sunday evenings (TWO) for NO APPARENT REASON. Traffic non- existent so they hadn't been triggered by other vehicles. Could someone please take a look at this problem as it is highly annoying and frustrating. Furthermore, in my opinion, the road surface and the condition of the white line lane markings need to be looked at for refurbishment. Many thanks

Large fly tip, 2nd March

Wed, 02 Mar 2022 20:47:15 +0000
54.542477 -1.48948

Rubbish dumped in the lay-by consisting of a car seat and dashboard with other waste. I think it has been there about a week. The items are blocking most of the lay-by. Fly tipping seems to be quite a common occurrence in this location.
