Damaged Road
21st April
Thank you for repairing the potholes and informing us the road is to be resurfaced this year ,so that got me thinking about the road resurfacing and cause of the damaged road particularly adjacent to 3 large tamarisk bushes and 6Deal castle road So reading about these Tamarisk bushes the shrubs have a wide powerful spreading root system that can disrupt road Foundation on the road base and sub base leading to cracks and an uneven road surface generally weakening the road structure this is what we appear to have in this section of road ,the tamarisk is a very thirsty plant which also causes heaving and lifting of road surfaces the roots cannot go towards the castle because of the dry moat wall so I would imagine they extend under the road Just thinking It would be a shame to resurface the road only for this problem to re-occur maybe due to these shrubs Regards Barry

Tree Lopping in June
22nd June
The council started lopping the plain trees in the Duke St car park yesterday. I am concerned that it is the wrong time of year, and the trees might be harmed.

Tarmac has been laid by a child with no thought of anyone.
5th December
I know this is an entrance to a building site but they've totally destroyed a perfectly good tarmac road. With no awareness of anyone walking this. I wrenched my left leg and foot which is already not good. This is totally not acceptable. The lighting, despite the photo looking bright, is dark. I've really hurt myself.

10th May
Witnessed person with stick have to step down into road to avoid pots today. Then at junc of North st and middle st on blind corner yet another pot. Many other houses in the conservation area are blocking safe pedestrian access with large pots. There has been an increase in recent years of this problem. A blind person might be forced into road and eg would not hear an electric vehicle, which are growing in number. Or a pedestrian with a walking frame, mothers with pushchairs. Etc
