Cars parking on side of road

Cars park on the side of the road within this street and end up blocking in drives or making the road too tight for other road users to include services such as bin lorries and ambulances to come up around the road. This has been an ongoing issue for several years and appears to be getting worse with more cars parking at the side of this small street

Right of way

Right of way across field neglected and inaccessible. Used regularly by residents usually in good repair. This is the first year its been neglected and has new owners we understand. Its an important route and needs clearing or enforcing

Overgrown pavements

Between Great Witley boundary and Yarhampton, single track pagement overgrown with weeds coming up through tarmac, difficult to navigate, have to step into road at time to pass. Regularly used route by locals.

HGV Danger. Hedge encroaching carriageway.
19th February
The hedge has been allowed to encroach the carriageway at this point which is a danger for HGV movements of which there are many on this busy trunk road. Spring is approaching and the hedge will grow out further into A443 forcing larger vehicles over the double white lines in the middle of the road. JS HGV Driver.

Water on pavement between Rose Cottage and Mill Cottage
20th April
Manhole on pavement. Water coming up either from the manhole or immediately next to it, and running down pavement making it slimyy wet and dangerous to walk on for some distance flowing down hill. Been there for months now. Water can be flowing extensively even in dry weather.

Pothole and poor drainage.

Significant and deep water accumulation on a blind bend, accompanied by a deep pothole near the curb, makes for a potentially lethal accident. Drainage at inside edge of curve really needs to be restored.

Water flooding over road

A stream runs under the road through a gully which appears to be partly blocked probably by debris from a recent fallen tree. As a result water is now running over the road down our drive.

Overgrown vegetation

On leaving the doctors surgery it is very difficult to see oncoming traffic on your left due to overgrown vegetation and this makes it hazardous to a driver entering the A443 and could cause a driver to have an accident.

Overgrown pavement
2nd July
The pavement leading from Great Witley Post Office down to primary school/village hall is ridiculously overgrown with hedge/weeds/etc encroaching making the pavement extremely narow in places. This is extremely hazardous for pedestrians with the busy road, but even worse when trying to negotiate a pushchair.

Stolen drain gully cover
7th December
The metal drain cover to the road water drains has been stolen leaving a dangerous hole protected only by traffic cones. There is also a second drain on the other side of an access drive covered only by a temporary plastic grate.

High hedge protruding into the carriageway. Because house owner opposite parks car half on road and half off there is often not enough room for cars to pass because of this and the hedge.

The drain on the corner of the lane is broken / overflowing and running down the road towards the village. With the recent rain it's starting to cause damage to the road surface and edge.

Blocked Gulley 25 yds below footpath crossing.
7th June
This drain was cleaned? a few weeks ago but the blockage is never cleared. When it rains heavy the runs straight over the drain,down the hill and across the road like a river creating a wonderful skin pan. There will be a serious accident soon with the speed the traffic travels along this road in spite of a speed restriction.
