Dangerous slippy footpath
31st January
Dead leaves that have covered the footpath for weeks, are wet and well trodden, rain has now compounded the issue of slushy sludgy leaf coverage, making the footpath extremely unsafe to use, its like walking on a skating rink! It forces people into the road on a dangerous corner where traffic comes off the A38 sliproad. For Wheelchairs and pushchairs it is almost impassable. Alrewas, nr. Burton on Trent. Northbound sliproad (Rykneld st.) on the corner of Micklehome Drive.

A38 road surface uneven
18th December
Water is gathering in the side of the carriageway and is being thrown over my property and my neighbours. This is noisy, scaring our dogs and causing property damage with damp. This problem has been reported numerous times. I spoke to the engineer on the day of inspection and he took a photograph of a photograph I took to evidence the pools of water that are being thrown over our homes. It is happening again RIGHT now 18/12/2024 at 19.12

Pothole near grass verge
Fradley Lane
This pothole has been getting worse over the last few weeks, due to rain and poor drainage, which often floods. A very deep pothole approximately 80cm deep, near grass verge no kirb stones, makes you move into middle of road, trying to avoid it, dangerous for oncoming traffic. Night driving in this area in where lighting is not the best.

Water is gathering at the side of the inside lane directly outside my property and my three neighbours. Water is being thrown up off the road onto our properties. This is not only making the fronts of our properties filthy but also contains stones and debris, causing damp problems with soaked bricks and disturbing us. I have reported this before and nothing was done!

Antisocial neighbours
18th September
We have had neighbours parking outside of the restrictive covenants set out in the property deeds for parking on rogerson road. This issue has been going on for the past 12 months if not longer, we have politely asked if the car park can be used for allocated parking spots only as parking wherever makes it difficult to get in and out of spaces. I work in healthcare as well as care for our elderly relative and need to be able to freely use my driveway at all times of the day and night. When we approached the issue by asking the neighbour to park elsewhere as they do not own a second car parking space, they were extremely aggressive and rude. They have continued to park in all areas of the car park except for an actual car parking space, we have since been in contact with the police based on their aggressive and antisocial behaviour and the neighbours were politely asked to stop. However they did not. They continued and we went forth with a letter from a solicitor explaining all of the property deeds. They continued again, so we sent a second letter from a solicitor detailing again and telling them not to continue again. As you can see from the picture, they are yet to stop. Apologies if this is not an issue you can deal with but any help or suggestions would much appreciated.

Potholes all along busy road mad lorry drivers constant cannot stand in road.
7th September
When large lorry drives by and hits a pothole in the road, it causes my house to shake and vibrate this is all night long there is a huge hole and something that looks like struts showing along the road. Am not getting any sleep and worried as my house is a new build. This must be causing minute disturbances to my brickwork which could be turning into a (unseen) larger issue if it continues.

Subject: RE: Drainage/flooding
Dear Mr Jeffries,
Thank you for contacting Lichfield District Council,
I have spoken to one of our Environmental Officers about your issues, and it doesnt spring to mind as something Environmental Protection usually deal with. Saying that I am not 100% clear whether the issue is coming from water coming onto your property from the highway/drains /ditches linked to the A38. It sounds as though that is the case.
I would recommend reporting to Staffordshire County Council as they are responsible for drainage and highway. I have copied in the link below for you to report this direct to them
Https://apps2.staffordshire.gov.uk/web/reportfault/?_gl=1*1vnyku9*_ga*MTAzNjI1NDI3Ny4xNjQyMzMxNTc2*_ga_L5SP43WS7L*MTcxODAyNDYyMS4yOS4xLjE3MTgwMjQ2MzIuMC4wLjA.#divSelectionHeader
If this is unsuccessful get back in touch and I will try again, but at the moment I am being advised it is most like a County Council issue rather than a District.
I hope this helps.
Kind Regards
Amy Cook Environmental Protection Support Officer

Dear Sir/Madam
I am contacting you as the Executor of my late father's estate.
Alan Jeffries deceased

Fradley Lane
Fradley
Lichfield
WS13 6JP
Over the winter and into the spring while the property was empty the padock area has been covered with water for long periods (draining away during dry periods) and when the rain was at it's heaviest the drive to the property of Fradley Lane has been flooded.
This water comes from nearby ditches and highway drains. The water that was in the paddock soaks away from the ditch when high/blocked. The water that goes across the drive is when the ditch itself overflows.
I thought the problem had gone for now but recently a large down poor left water on the paddock and also left the drive briefly flooded.
The ditch is fed from the flyover over the A38 (fradley lane) and also adjoining ditches and drains from the A38. My father had problems in previous years that were rectified by yourselves. I assume the current problem may be related to the recent work on the A38 itself and the areas adjacent to the property?
Could you please look into sorting this ASAP please or pass this on to who is responsible? Previously it was not urgent but now that there is someone living there to look after the property until the estate is sorted and the future of the property decided?
As a result of the problem this water has drained into the properties ces pit and soakaway so something needs to be done ASAP please?
Regards
Lloyd Jeffries
