Consistently having people parking on the double yellowed lines by the junction to Fernleigh court and further down, this impacts heavily all weekend whereas it's single lane traffic for the majority of the street

National issue
27th April
As a professional Hgv driver I get around the UK and I am appalled with the amount of litter up and down the verges of our highways. Its akin to what you see in a third world country.
Can you tell me if you have any plans/intention to litter-pick?
This is an ongoing issue observed over months if not years and there isnt anything being done to sort it out.
Id be grateful for your feedback.

Deep pothole
25th April
Recurring pothole, was filled last year. Now crumbling back open. 1 metre length - catches your car tyre. Unable to get photos as in lane 2 of a busy 'no stop zone' roundabout.

Litter and Debris on the banking of the M1 at the side of the bridge at Junction 40 Ossett
17th March
I have received a report of a large amount of litter and debris along the banking at the side of the bridge of Junction 40 of the M1. This is said to be at the section of the bridge that heads towards the direction of Wakefield. The litter and debris looks to have accumulated over time.
I have reported this to Wakefield Council but they have advised that it isn't maintained by the Council, it is the responsibility of National Highways.

Vms
13th March
Another own-goal by the incompetent control room operators. VMS was showing M1 J40-39 closed. Another VMS was showing M1 J40 & 39 exits closed. Neither exit was closed. Why would you sign for J39 exit closed when apparently J40-39 was closed? The sooner Starmer abolishes NH the better.

It has been there for weeks in the corner of the pavement.

Dog fouling on Broadway
16th February
Today I carried out a litter pick on Broadway. Must have counted 100 instances of dog fouling on the paths and verges, most of which I was able to bag. In addition I also collected at least 30 bags of dog poo from the paths and also the hedges. Most the bags seemed to be the same black type. This was all in the stretch between Waterton Road and Abdul's most was past Magdelene.

Entry slip road jct 40M1 n/b
7th February
There are lots of litter, metal sign stand and traffic cones in the entry slip road N/B from the A638 please could you advise if these eyesores are likely to remain on these verges forever? Also the vegetation on same roundabout has been chopped back revealing all the litter thats been left behind. Is this Highways responsibility to clear up or Wakefield council?

Poor lane directions
5th February
There are two M1 South lanes existing the northern bridge over the interchange. The lefthand lane should keep left but this isn't clear, as the right lane has to move one as this lane becomes the Dewsbury lane. See Google Maps. Cars are often nearly colliding as they do not stay in the correct lanes while coming around this bend. Please can you repaint this in a better way as to guide the cars around.
