Between playground and community centre
30th May
For years, this area has been a dumping ground for rubbish. The council only seems to make an effort to clear it up when an election is near, quickly forgetting about it once votes are cast. Along the park's edge, you'll find countless items, including hazardous materials like oil, paint etc. The grass, left nearly a meter high, seems intentionally grown to highlight the sheer volume of waste. Is this truly what our 220 a month in council tax pays for? This isn't just an environmental crime; it's a serious threat to the children who play here. It has been looking like this for the last 3 weeks. There is a park there where the bin has not been emptied in a month and all you can see around is piles of empty boxes and tins of alcohol
