Large area of subsidence in road
9th June
Hello,There is a large pothole/subsidence area in the road as marked on the map which has caused two suspension breakages. This road is unlit and the hole has sloping sides which are not apparent until the vehicle is upon the hole when it is too late to slow down. As the road is unlit at night and is frequently used as the way between the two public houses its really is only a matter of time until someone has an accident and then litigates against the authority. This has been reported by the Parish clerk and also a former District councillor so claiming no foreknowledge would not stand during a claim hearing.

Deep pothole on extremely busy road
31st July
A really deep, skeleton-jarring pothole as you turn into the car park of Slapton Sands. It's probably not dangerous to the main road, but will slow cars entering the car park...and that could cause problems.

Poor
ageing road surface
Hello,
This road has been left in a pretty poor state for years. The left-hand bend, as you keep Slapton Ley on your left, is particularly bad, with a corrugated effect which is really quite dangerous. A lot of cars go far too fast here; on such a dicey, bumpy surface, it's a hazard for drivers and pedestrians.
Since it is such a vital road, connecting villagers to Kingsbridge and Totnes, can't something be done about it?
