This public road is currntly blocked by a builders skip
30th April
This skip has been there with lots of debris all around for over a year. It looks like this is building material and flytipped waste blocking access and causjng a hazzard to a public footpath. Furthermore, there is a road bollard that has been vandalised and chopped down.

The owner of these vehicles does not live in the close
31st December
Faulkner Close has signs saying "Parking for residents and guest only" at times all the spaces are taken up. However for the last 6 months+ these 2 vans have been parking in the close. They started parking directly opposite my house taking up 3 parking spaces. As I am disabled this was an problem for me. After I placed a notice on the windscreen of one of them the owner has now stated parking only 1 opposite and the other a little further along. The owner does not live in Faulkner Close.

Obstructed pavement
2nd May
The Sloping Deck restaurant under the Butterwalk virtually blocks the pavement for almost the whole of the covered area with seats and tables. In 2020 and 2021 this may have been acceptable due various pandemic rules. Now, however, things should return to normal, clear the pavement, and serve customers in their upstairs area inside. Are they paying to use this outside area?

Excessive noise all day for months
22nd July
A jack hammer starts at 8.00 every morning and continues all day. They have been doing this for months. It is having a serious effect on us and many others. Why do we have to tolerate this just because someone wants to build a bigger house by cutting away the cliff?

Illegal parking
11th June
The owner of this car regularly parks (sometimes for hours on end or overnight) on the junction of three very narrow roads on a steep hill. It causes an obstruction, making it difficult for large vehicles to negotiate the corner without mounting the kerb. In the event of an emergency, access to the location of the incident would be extremely difficult if not impossible. The vehicles owner (who lives in the downstairs flat directly behind the vehicle) has been asked to move the vehicle and refrain from parking there several times by local residents but all requests are ignored.

New round about
11th March
At the junction of Nelson Rd and the A3122, the main road out of Dartmouth. The new roundabout for the entrance into the new development is being built on an angle viewed from the main road and coming up Nelson Rd from Sainsburys.
Also the cargiage ways between the kerbs are too narrow for an articulated lorry to get around without mounting the kerbs.
This seems to have been designed by someone with little practical knowledge of the needs of a main road. There is a roundabout less than one hunderd yards away which is really the minimal size for a main road.
We do not need traffic lights in Dartmouth. Just please, inspect and require it to be re-designed before it gets too far along.

Restricted walkway by river
12th August
The Station Restaurant (now known as Platform One) has now constructed wooden storage sheds all along the building on its south (river) side. This now restricts the public walkway to well under 1 metre. Additionally they are storing used cooking oil containers which has made the surface slippery and loosened the sets. This must surely be a public health and safety hazard.

Abandoned vehicle declared SORN has been there for 4 years. The land it is on is unregistered
but as all land in the UK is owned by someone the owner doesn't have permission to leave it there. People are now starting to dump unwanted goods in it.
The van has been there for 4 years, as it's on unregistered land and declared SORN the council have not done anything about it. But, if all land in the UK is owned by someone, which it is, then the owner of the van doesn't have the landowners permission to abandon it there and it can be legally removed.
