Stop white lines
20th June
The white lines are dangerously faded and need repainting. This is at the junction of Park Road and Cambridge Road. Traffic often doesn't slow or stop. This is partly due to the poor markings and the misguided assumption that to the right of the junction entering Cambridge Road is one way. This is not the case as the one way system starts just beyond Park Crescent at 10 Cambridge Road. Traffic may be turning right out of Park Crescent! An accident waiting to happen.

20MPH Signs Concealed By Pre-existing Foliage
15th June
New 20mph entry signs signs (installed within last 6-8 weeks) are completely concealed by foliage on both sides of road, and they've been like this since the moment they were installed 6-8 weeks ago. In fact the signs were installed DESPITE the existing foliage, making it almost impossible for motorists to see them when coming up Penny's Hill.
Since this is a new limit, and the signs are concealed, many drivers are still under the impression that it's still a 30MPH road and fail to reduce speed as they would do if they were visible.
If the purpose is to slow vehicles, the signs will remain useless for this until the foliage is cleared (should have been done at installation). So it's tempting to conclude the signs have been intentionally sited in the foliage in order to catch out unwary drivers if enforcement takes place in the near future.

Caravan abandoned
16th May
This Caravan has been left here for over a week. Parked in a turning circle making it impossible for residents, emergency services and food delivery vans. The window has now been smashed open and the door was left open. Someone has also tampered with the wheel and handbrake. Massive arson risk due to the area it has been left in. Worryingly close to my house.

Abandoned pick up truck
11th May
There is a blue pick up truck at the top of the carpark for Haslam Court that appears on o have been abandoned. It has been there for over a week and nobody knows whos it is from either the flats or the houses. Its causing problems for people trying to park in their allocated spaces and has caused some near misses with people having to manoeuvre around it. A note has been left on the window but its not been moved for days as nobody has been back to move it.

Shop workers
job centre staff
Warren road desperately needs resident parking permits!! This would raise a lot money for council as shoppers, shop staff, job centre staff are making it impossible for those that live in the road to be able to park, and they should be using Melville and other car parks!! Then should I ask for the 104 plus money back and get the council to teach able bodied car drivers to learn respect and manners?? Maybe I should be able to borrow Steve Darlings guide dog whenever I choose, and then be able to find out how he would suffer, as I am at the moment. I deeply regret voting Lib Dem, they are all out for themselves and not helping his constituents!! I have offered to pay for a fixed plate, parking permit, residents permit, reserved sign, yellow lines etc anything to be able to leave house and return back to bay I have paid for without ignorant and greedy problems Warren road desperately needs resident parking permits as we get many town workers getting free parking Instead of using car park at Melville. Also staff at job centre at bottom of Warren road, This is obvious to someone with half a brain that it is losing the council Megabucks which, if residents parking permits we're introduced it would likely reduce council tax or at least provide more money for other council projects!!!

Abuse of disabled parking bays
28th April
Paid for disabled parking bay but each time I have to go out other cars are parked there when I return. This problem is almost making me housebound as I have to be able to get back home to use nebulisers etc. My COPD consultant is very concerned as I keep getting chest infections due to not being able to get home and take meds. Steve Darling knows all about the problems I have, but still nothing has been done. This has been going on since August 2024 when I got car to help me get out and try and enjoy the remaining of my life.

Owners using the road in front of their drives. often multiple cars. This can make it unsafe for people coming up Burridge Ave to exit onto Burridge road. It also prevents at times the bin men from getting down the road leading to missed collections. I believe 2023 was the year a bin lorry crashed into a car trying to enter Burridge Ave. its
